Elena's (POV)

'Cheers!! Babe I am so happy that you got the job".

"Thank you merlin."

Merlin is my childhood friend she was the one who was there with me in my though times, she was the one who was there when I needed a supporter, a friend and ofcourse a sister. Though she is irrating but she is a true friend.

"Congratulations"!! A loud yet soft voice came from behind, "Linda!" Linda is my college buddy she is a girl's girl . She is soft hearted and a cry baby too and her boyfriend!, He sucks!.

"You scared me Linda and by the way, you are late."

"Hey! I'm sorry I finally got free from that Jacob."

"Hhh! Not Again."

"Yaa but this is the last time I am breaking up with him. I am not going to see his face again."

"But why did you two broke up?" Merlin asked.

"it's a long story and today it's Elena's day so congratulations girl!! I am so happy for you. I can't believe you'll be assisting 'Bloodline Enterprises' marketing head, Cheers for Elena Guyss! Cheerrss!!!"

"Yay, I know, I still can't believe it the company owns the largest chain of luxury resorts in the world! What a fab gig!"

"OH MY GOD! Elena! You'll be in the same building as that Greek God Logan Jackman, the CEO!"

"Ele! You must bag him... for our sake."

"Girls calm down I have no chance."

"Don't be pessimistic Ele. He'd be fool not to notice you." Linda said giving me a playful wink.

"I mean yay, it would be nice to see him in person instead of just in magazines!"

"Awww, somebody has a crush on her billionaire boss!" Merlin said giggling.

"Stop it girls I have a fiancé, remember? Martin?" Merlin was not happy at his name. I know she doesn't like him that much.

That's when I noticed Linda eyeing a guy on the other side of the bar. "Talk to him, girl! And don't say, what if he'll be the same as jacob. JUST GO."

Some seconds later, she looked at me, triumphantly holding up a napkin. She got the guy's digits! GO LINDA!

As I saw Linda coming , another guy started talking to her. She looked like she wanted to leave but he won't leave her.

Me and merlin rushed towards her and stared the man down he gave us a lecuring smile.

"Back away, buddy She is not interested."

"Feeling left out? I've got two friends with me."

Two equally shady men joined him and started passing comments. "Come on, darling, I can show you a good time! Let's get out of her."

"Buzz off! Like, seriously. Who talks to the women like that?" I tried leading Linda away but that leering man grabbed me by my waist.

"Don't make us wait, darling. My buddies and I can play rough if you act hard to get."

ENOUGH! I knee him between his legs, making him groan and collapse to the floor

"You'll regret this." As the creeps advance, I swiftly grabbed a plate from the next table and chucked it in their direction.

But it missed and hit someone else.

"What the HELL! Who threw this?"

Another plate was thrown and the whole place dissolved into a drunken fight with people throwing cutlery all around.

"Oh God what a mess!! You have created Elena" Merlin said. All chaos descends, she took our hand and quickly ran out of the bar.

"NOOO! I lost the napkin with the phone number on it. GAH!." Linda said.

"Linda don't you think we had more pressing matters? If you didn't notice, we were trying to get away from creeps and flying cutlery."

"I can fix your mood, Linda. Mago just messaged" Merlin said.

"There's a party at Courtshire Castle tonight, in the old dungeon."

"Oo that's so cool merlin."

"Linda stop giggling. Mago's 'party' will be nothing but a group of amateur cult members and devil worshippers. It's all hogwash!"

"Oo come on! Ele, The supernatural could be real. And the party is at a castle! Come on, it'll be fun."

"Alright! Let's go then!"

We reached at the Courtshire Castle and headed into the dungeon. As I was looking at the beautiful architecture, Mago came.

"Welcome! Hi Linda... You look lovely."

"I'm also glad to see you, Mago!"

"Look how cutely they are blushing! Merlin said. "Why don't they just date already?!"

"God knows!"

He leaded us into a dimly lit hall that was filled with people dressed in gothic clothing. The servant came with a tray of brownies and drinks.

"Would you like something?" The servant said,

"The drinks looked fun." I was tempted to try them but I was nervous."

"Oh, come on! have one! Ele, you know, the closer your wedding date comes, the more boring you seem to get..". Linda said, I was flushed with embarrassment at her comment.

"Boring? ME?! NEVER! I can have fun." It's time to let loosen up and enjoy myself.

I finshed all the drinks.

"YAY! That's more like it, Elena! Now, let's dance." I danced like an idiot.

I was lost in the music and ended up having wonderful time after a while actuall.

"This was the most fun I've had in ages!"

"If you don't marry that jerk Martin, you can have this fun all the time!" Merlin said rolling her eyes.

Sigh...

"I also don't want to marry him Merlin, but his family has done so much for me and—"

"Are you two moping? NOT ALLOWE," Linda came from behind.

"NO, no, Come'on let's dance and enjoy ourselves like a free birds."

We had so much fun tonight. Hope tomorrow brings new excitement ...
