Chapter 1: The first day
The sun peeked through the windows casting golden rays as to put a spotlight on the most perfect girl to ever exist-Li Luna,the top scorer at Shenzhen high school who slept with the excitement of starting the 2nd year of her high school journey,unsure but excited for what's next to come.
"Luna are you up yet?" Her mother called from the kitchen
"Wake up Meilin first!!" Luna replied
"I'm already up Luni!"Meilin replied while combing her long black hair into a ponytail
"Beside you don't wanna be late on the first day!"
"The first da- oh shoot I'm late!!"
"You will be if you don't get up quick!"
"Ugh who's in the bathroom? I have to get ready!"
"Oh Yui is!she'll be out in a minute"
"Yui! Fast i don't wanna be late!!"
"Okay okay I'm out geez Luni spare me a morning!" Yui replied patting her face with a tissue
"Oh you know how excited she is for school! Luni we'll be downstairs come fast or the brothers will finish the entire breakfast!" Meilin said picking up her bag
"Okay okay just 5 mins!" Luna replied
Downstairs was a room of chaos, the sound of plates,laughter and toaster was permanent in the Li residence
"There's my baby girl!" Luna's grandma cried opening her arms for a hug
"It's not like she's your only grandchild maybe show us some love!" Kai, luna's older cousin brother teased gesturing towards a table full of cousins
"That's the price of being the youngest!"Luna said with a smirk
"Why do you argue with her?" Aunt Xia said handing Luna a glass of orange juice
Luna gives Kai another smirk and sits to have breakfast
"Luni! Baby best of luck for your first day!" Luna's grandpa exclaimed
"Thanks Grandpa!"
"Well if you look around there's other people on the table some of us are starting the first day of university maybe we can get a "best of luck Kai"?"
"Was that jealousy I hear?" Luna said before hugging her mother
"Good Bye Li's!"
Luna met Jina her best friend since middle school they walked together towards school discussing homework and their predictions for this year no one knew what was to come but everyone was excited
As they entered the school Luna was greeted by many seniors,juniors and teachers but someone who didn't greet her but had already studied her, stared at the way her brown hair touches her forehead how she always had that sweet smile doesn't matter who she was talking to was Leo
Leo sat on the very last seat of their classroom Luna had rarely spoken to him just once or twice for some work Leo was the second high scorer he never dared to score more than Luna because he knew how much the first position mattered to her,he admired her since middle school but never had the courage to tell her that,he knew it was "Li Luna" the girl who didn't have time for this!
Luna and Jina entered the class and sat on the second seat by the window Luna loved the view from this window!
Mr.Cheng entered the classroom and introduced himself as their new class and science teacher
"Before we begin we need class representatives for this year! Any volunteers?"
"I would've volunteered but eventually it's gonna be Luna so I say Luna should be the class representative!" A girl said
"Ya Luna had always been the class representative she knows the duties why make any changes?" A boy from the back said
Luna and Jina looked at each other with a mixed expression of confusion and satisfaction Leo noticed her and looked down at his notebook opened to some random chp and smiled
"Alright then I guess it's Luna again! Give a round of applause!"
Luna stood up and looked at everyone,then thanked them for trusting her with this responsibility and sat down
"But this year we'll have someone accompany Luna--Leo?"
"Yes um no I can't!" Leo replied
"Uhm no you have to learn to be social it's a great opportunity!"Mr Cheng explained
"Yah Leo it's a great opportunity we'll work great together" Luna replied turning towards Leo
Leo tried hard not to smile and kept his same unreadable cold expression
"Fine I'll do it!"
"Great! Everyone, give a round of applause for Leo as well!"
Everyone appreciates Leo and gets started on learning
Around last class Luna starts having a pounding pain at the back of her head she ignores it tries her best to continue writing notes but her eyes start to blur out but then the bell finally rings Luna packs up her stuff Leo packs up and goes to the front
"Hey umm I have a headache could you clean the board by yourself I'll do it tomorrow" Luna requested
"Skipping work on the first day, representative?" Leo smirked
"Ugh of course not I really have a headache"
"I'm kidding fine I'll do it but you're gonna do it tomorrow deal?"
"Deal-ugh!"Luna replied holding the back of her head
Luna thanks Leo and leaves Leo couldn't help but stare at the way she held the back of her head, while cleaning the board all he could think of was the conversation they just had and just like that the day was officially
