THE REUNION
The warm glow of cafe lights flickered against the cold night air as Adwick, Suhas, Arjun, Rhea, and Aarohi gathered around their usual table. It had been years since they were all together like this—school friendships carried into college life, but the busy schedules had kept them apart for far too long.
Tonight, however, was different. They weren’t just catching up. They were about to plan something dangerous, thrilling, and unforgettable.
Adwick leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table, excitement gleaming in his eyes. "Alright, guys, listen up. This reunion needs a proper adventure—one that we’ll never forget."
Suhas, ever the cautious one, rolled his eyes. "I already don’t like where this is going."
Arjun smirked. "Let me guess—something reckless?"
Adwick’s grin widened. "Obviously." He leaned closer, lowering his voice for dramatic effect. "We’re going to explore Hotel The Paradise tonight."
Silence fell over the group.
Aarohi stiffened. "Wait. That haunted hotel?"
Adwick nodded eagerly. "Exactly."
No, I'm not coming. You guys know I'm afraid of ghosts Aarohi exclaimed!!
Rhea’s eyes lit up with excitement. "That place is legendary! The whole Mallika murder mystery, the ghost sightings, the fact that no one stays there anymore… It sounds perfect."
Aarohi groaned. "Rhea, please tell me you’re not actually considering this."
Rhea grinned. "Oh, I definitely am." Besides, there is no such thing as ghosts.
If you say so fine. Let the adventure begin Aarohi yells.
Adwick laughed. "That’s the spirit!"
Suhas crossed his arms, frowning. "Guys, that hotel was shut down for a reason. You know what they say—people who stay in Room 504 don’t make it out alive."
Arjun, ever the logical thinker, sighed. "Ghost stories are exaggerations. But the place is abandoned. What if it’s not paranormal but just unsafe?"
Adwick waved him off. "Come on, Bunny, don’t back out now."
Suhas scoffed. "Forget backing out—how do we even get in?"
Adwick’s eyes gleamed. "I know a way."
Aarohi groaned again, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Of course you do."
After more protests from Suhas and wary skepticism from Arjun, the group finally agreed—it was a reunion, after all, and what better way to celebrate than with an adventure soaked in mystery?
As they settled their cafe bill and stepped outside, the cold night air wrapped around them like an omen. Hotel The Paradise loomed in the distance, waiting for them.
