Prologue: Echoes of the Forgotten
Hidden in the folds of the rainforest on Brisaluna, beyond where the waves dare to speak and the mountains guard their secrets, there is a small town where memories speak.
Once, it pulsed with the Spirit of the Moon Breeze—an ancient magic that kissed the island’s skin, carried the coquí’s song through midnight air, and bound the land, sea, and stars in a vow older than memory.
But vows are easily broken.
And when the winds stilled and the moon veiled her face, Brisaluna began to forget its magic—and itself.
The old ones spoke of a prophecy: A girl born between sea and sky, her laughter stitched with light, her blood remembering what others have forgotten, will awaken the island’s soul.
That girl is Anani.
But the island’s magic doesn’t simply awaken with light—it stirs with longing, with blood, with the ache of promises once made and never kept.
And somewhere in the thick of the sylvan forest, under a sky heavy with forgotten stars, a man walks the same path.
Drawn by a force he doesn’t understand.
Haunted by a girl he hasn’t met.
Bound by a destiny neither of them asked for.
He will touch her life like a storm touches the shore—beautiful, wild, and impossible to forget.
The wind is rising again.
And with it, so is a love that could tear the island apart…
or piece it back together.
