Beneath The Mask
Main characters:
- Kim Taehyung: A self-centered man in the mafia world, known for his cold-heartedness and lack of interest in love. 25 yrs old.
- Jeon Jungkook: A 20-year-old college student who is popular among students, but unfortunately, he is bullied and teased for unjustifiable reasons.
JK POV:
I wake up to the sound of my alarm, groggily rubbing my eyes as I try to shake off the remnants of sleep. It's another day, and I know what's waiting for me at school. I go through my morning routine, trying to gather some semblance of confidence before facing the world outside. As I slip into my clothes, I can't help but feel a knot in my stomach, knowing that Jason Park will be there, ready to make my day miserable. But today, something feels different. Today, I decide that enough is enough. I gather my courage and walk into the school with my head held high, determined to stand up for myself.
When I walk into the school I am met by Jason. A knot surround the inside of my stomach making me nervous as hell. I keep my head up high as he walks near me with his eyes filled with desire to punch and kick me (per usual. It’s like a routine for him.) Once he’s within grabbing distance he lunged at me with full force. The first blow was so unexpected I bounced back on the floor from the powerful blow of his punch, groaning in pain. “Why are you acting all high and mighty asshole. Don’t you know who you’re up against!” He yelled grabbing everyone’s attention in the halls ‘dammit. I don’t want all the attention on me’ I curse myself. “I-I’m s-sorry.” I stutter keeping hold of my cheek where he punched me. “Yeah better be Jeon fuck” god he’s an asshole. Though a bigger asshole at names. It’s funny to see him try new names that don’t make sense.
TAE POV:
I wake up to the sound of my alarm, piercing through the silence of my luxurious penthouse. The morning sun casts a golden glow on the sleek, modern furniture that fills the room. As I stretch my well-toned body, I can't help but admire my reflection in the floor-to-ceiling mirror. Kim Taehyung. A name everyone fears, a name that no one wants to come into contact with. God this is exhausting. Waking up every morning and having a new mission after each one the night before. Again and again, more dangerous than the other.
I make my way to the opulent bathroom, where I indulge in a long, hot shower. The steam envelops me, washing away the sins of the previous night. As I dry myself off with a plush towel, I catch a glimpse of the scars that mar my otherwise flawless skin. Each one tells a story of power and dominance.
Dressed impeccably in a tailored suit, I head to the kitchen where my personal chef has prepared a gourmet breakfast fit for a king. I take my seat at the head of the table, savoring each bite as I plan my next move in the criminal underworld. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee fills the air, awakening my senses and sharpening my mind.
With breakfast finished, I retreat to my private study, surrounded by shelves filled with ancient books and hidden secrets. The room is dimly lit, creating an atmosphere of mystery and intrigue. As I sit behind my grand mahogany desk, I review reports from my loyal subordinates, ensuring that my empire remains unchallenged.
As the morning turns into afternoon, I step out onto the bustling streets, where fear and respect follow me like a shadow. People part ways as I pass by, their eyes filled with a mixture of admiration and terror. I am a force to be reckoned with, a man who commands loyalty and obedience from those around me.
But beneath this cold-hearted and narcissistic facade lies a man burdened by his own darkness. The weight of my actions weighs heavily on my soul, and in moments of solitude, I question the path I have chosen. Is there redemption for a man like me? Or am I destined to forever walk this treacherous path of power and violence?
I head out to one of my most trusted right-hand men, Chris, Chris is a very loyal and promising man to work with. He never questions my actions and only gives me what I need, when I want it, how I want it. “Good afternoon sir. Here is the next mission for you. It’s at a college in Seoul. It’s not very far from here so you can drive there if u want to. Your mission today is to go to the college and find a student name Jeon Jungkook. He is a great student in class and has very good grades. Though his life is harsh. He has a bully named Jason Park. Jason is the one you need to target. Which means you need to act as a student in the college and make sure Jungkook is free from this bully.” After Chris explained the whole mission he gave the folder to Taehyung and let him look at the details of both Jungkook and Jason. Once Tae looked it over he closed it looking at Chris with confusion. He wasn’t used to helping others given he wasn’t the type to help at all. “Ok. So explain me this Chris, why is this mission about ‘helping’ people when u know I’m not the person to help anyone.” He said his face and tone very nonchalant. “Heh.” Chris chuckled. “I know you’re not that kind of person but you should start helping people. It could be good for you.” He says while elbowing Tae lightly. “Yeaaaa. No. I don’t like helping people let alone actually doing it. Give me another mission.” “Nope it’s the only mission plus there’s a big award.” Chris winked.
