Lily Harper, a bubbly, cheerful wedding photographer, ironic point as her Engagement was just broken off which left her in a pretty gloomy mood.
Francis Angelini, a divorce lawyer who doesn’t believe in love and finds it pointless, a man who is cynical and a killjoy for couples.
When these polar opposite personalities clash, a journey of Quirky, comedic and heart-warming events are sure to take place.
At wedding of Mr. Dennis and Ms. Samuels, Lily was the wedding photographer who just got dumped by her fiancé and just starting to recover meanwhile Francis was one of the groomsmen, Ironic considering he was a non-believer of love. As Lily was obsessing over the lighting issue at the altar, she spotted Francis, who she had seen in various other weddings and knew all about his personality which got her thinking,’ For a guy who doesn’t believe in love, he sure attends a lot of weddings.’ As she returned to scold the electrician, Francis noticed Lily and thought to himself,’ For a bubbly and cheerful girl she is pretty depressing.’ Just as his chain of thoughts were ending, someone interrupted him and he turned around to see his little sister Olivia Angelini as she spoke,’ So! Big brother finally found someone who could get his heart thumping and make him feel like a middle school girl.’ Francis pulls Olivia’s cheeks to punish her, Lily who had overheard the conversation started thinking of her about how she was getting harassed by her relatives to get Married and to bring dates to the weddings she attends. Just as she was starting to lose her mind, the groomsmen are summoned and the groom walks down the Aisle, the lights dim and all the guests rise just as ‘Here comes the bride’ starts playing, Lily prepares to take the shot of the bride walking down the altar, The Bride enters with her father walking her down the Aisle. Lily snaps the shot of the bride smiling at the Groom and the wedding continues. As the wedding ends and The Bride and Groom start walking out the church, the bride tosses the Bouquet towards the Bridesmaids and one of them actually manage to catch it. As Lily captures the final shot of the bride giving a speech, she starts to pack up and enjoy the reception. She notices Francis surrounded by women of old age who look pretty similar to him, making it blatantly obvious that they are his relatives and they all seem to be talking about marriage as he looks around with a helpless look in his eyes, just as he locks eyes with lily, she springs into action and starts walking towards him, just as she reaches a close proximity, Francis jumps up from his seat and holds Lily’s hands while he announces,’ Look! She is the Girl I keep telling you guys about, this is my Girlfriend, Lily!’ Lily is flustered by Francis’s words but manages to keep her cool and plays along with Francis’s claim. Lily excuses herself and Francis from the relatives asking them about a million questions per second and exit the hall, entering the corridor, Lily swings at Francis who dodges the attack effortlessly and pins her against the wall and whispers to her,' Don't try to break free, you will not succeed. Just listen to me and everything will be fine.' Francis lets Lily go and distances himself before continuing to speak,' We both are stuck in a similar situation, Parents and relatives forcing us to go on dates and trying constantly to get us married. I propose a plan, we pretend to date for some time at weddings and before you object, I already know you are the wedding Photographer for all the weddings that I have to attend for the next few months. Think about this offer and let me know.' Francis turns around and starts walking away but is stopped by a tug at his sleeve. He turns around to see Lily all red-faced and whispering,' Fine!, I will do it but you also have to go to weddings with me.' Francis smiles and bends towards Lily making her breath hitch, with just a few inches between their faces, Lily once again gets flustered as she stares at Francis as he opens his mouth and says, 'Deal!'
