Chapter 1

Start writing here…My name is Francis i lived with my mother at kwabre and this is my story to every kid on the street

My father left me and mother when i was a kid ,my mother was founding it difficult to look after me and my brothers because there was was nothing left for my mum to worked on inorder to cater for us ,the farmland was sold when my dad divorced my mum.

When i was eight i realized that i can do something different because i didnt understand why am always painting ,drawing, the Ghanaian flag and other African flags .Then found out that i can paint and draw by my own so i start drawing things i see around me like the kitchen ,the road to my school and the house .I usually listen to our radio every sunday because there was a show going on for kids called “BRING IT ON KIDS”,i always thought that it was about only singing and dancing but my teacher told me that every talent is part of it .I didnt think of the money nor the laptops they are going to give me after winning the competition but to show the whole world what i have that differenciate me from other kids .

So i made my mind to join the show because the audition was going to start in the near city .It wasnt that easy moving from my village to the city but made my mind am going to move no matter how hard is going to be .I woke up at 5:ooam on sunday because the audition starts around 9:00am to12:oopm ,I told my mum am leaving to the city to participate in the upcoming KIDS SHOW ,she encouraged me but she was scared because it was dawn she gave me 2cedis to buy some food when i get to the city and thats was the only amount she was having on her .I made it to the city that was about 2-3 miles away from my village was tired though so i rest for some minutes and use 1cedi from the money for some kenkey .

The audition started and it was very sad seeing some kids not making it through but thanks God i amke it through to the quarter, semi and final before the final all my paintings and drawings that was in my mind were all drawn but i remembered what my dad told me “when you think about life look at the sky and ask why isnt it near us but far away ” .I sat down and think about what my wicked father told me and it remembered me a story where a woman use to pound fufu with a tall pistill so idecided to make a that story with my paintings and drawing , well i wasnt that sure that is going to put me at the top but after the final show i was pronounced the winner of the “BRING IT ON KIDS ” show and couldnt stand it looking at the people around me and my mum the peolpes around me and even the Big people who gave me scholarships , I tried to speak but i couldnt and i was full of tears of joy .

SO THIS IS MY LETTER TO MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS WHO ARE FINDING IT DIFFICULT WITH LIFE THERE ARE SOMETHINGS YOU HAVE TO KNOW AND ASK GOD TO SHOW YOUR TALENT.
