Summary

I am sharing these poems with hopes that some may find them comforting by knowing that they are not alone. Another hope of mine is to make others understand these issues, maybe these will help them relate to their struggling loved ones. “Comfort the disturbed and disturb the comforted”

The body of mine

An artist, unsatisfied with a sculpture,

Will carve into it, change the shape,

Until they are proud to show it.

A poet, unsatisfied with their words,

Will change them,

make them fit the intended meaning,

Until they are proud to show it.

The body of mine is a sculpture you like.

One I’m not proud to show,

So I try to carve away the fat

And I wish to change the shape.

The body of mine is a poem you like.

One I’m not proud to show,

So I try to make it fit my mind,

And I wish to change the shape.
