Chapter 1 - Shocked

Author's POV

The sun rose from the mountains as usual. The empty roads of Visakhapatnam were soon to be turned into chaotic ones. The city have it's own charm. A ray of sunlight crossed a window surpassing the curtains. A young, beautiful, charming lady frowned in her sleep and tossed to the other side. Yes. It's none other than our Aadya. She knitted her eyebrows. Sweat beads formed at her temple.

"No" she screamed from the top of her lungs and opened her eyes in a jerk. She looked all around only to realise that she was just dreaming. Same dream again. This is the zillionth time she's having this. And she got used to this.

She wiped the sweat formed at her temple and stepped out of the bed.

After taking a long session of hot shower she stepped out of the bathroom wrapping the towel around her torso. She opened her wardrobe and searched for that long lost anarkali dress which she suddenly reminded of.

"Where did it go?" she thought searching in that pile of clothes.

"There it is" she found after an eternity.

She looked at herself for one last time in the mirror after applying lipstick.

She hopped into her car and began to drive.

Her phone buzzed after a while.

She carelessly looked at the screen. The call was from Nirmala.

"Haa Amma (mom)" said Aadya as soon as she answered the call.

"What are you doing?" asked Nirmala on the other side.

"I am going to office" answered Aadya.

"Did you have breakfast?" asked Nirmala in her usual tone.

"Yes Amma (mom)" said Aadya.

"Oh. What did you eat?" asked Nirmala.

"Uppmmaaa" replied Aadya.

"Tell me the truth. You didn't have breakfast right?" Nirmala caught her white lie.

Aadya gave a sheepish smile.

"This girl never listen. What will be the state of your health if you neglect food like this" Nirmala began her lecture.

"Amma. I am driving. I will talk to you later" said Aadya and disconnected the call.

As soon as she disconnected the call, put the phone back on the passenger seat and looked back at the road, her eyes widened. She was in state of shock. The grip on the steering tightened and she halted the car in a jerk.
