I found myself waiting for her every appearance. She’s the kind of character you don’t just read, you brace for. There’s a whole different gravity when she’s on the page, and her influence echoes beyond the scenes she’s in. And then there’s Ivy. Sweet, soft, always hovering on the edges: Ezekiel might not notice her yet, but readers sure will. I hope the sequels give her more space. She deserves it. The author’s writing is on another level.
