Hooked
"The Sins We Harbor opens with quiet tension — golden water, facades with too much history, and Delilah: composed, capable, deeply haunted. There’s a sense that everything is under control — until Vaughn shows up with a flash drive and a storm behind his eyes. I loved the way you weave opposites together. Lines like “money talked here, but secrets screamed” are so evocative — they reveal the rot beneath the polish, the truth behind the silence. That duality runs through the entire piece — control vs chaos, poise vs panic, surface vs depth. If I could ask for anything more, it’d be just a sliver more emotional exposure earlier on — especially when Delilah sees Vaughn again. A flicker of breathlessness, surprise, heat, or even just the sensation of the ground shifting would heighten that moment. Still, this is such a strong, atmospheric start. You’ve built a world that feels seductive and dangerous — and I’m invested in watching Delilah unravel with grace."
Twisting roads to truth
"This is such an easy read, very real, so many twists and turns. I love Delilah, how hard her life has been. Evil pervades even those who appear innocent. Sigh!"
