Chapter 1

It was five years ago that they arrived in this place, maybe a handful of days as well. Two lost individuals, Lillian and her companion, Water Boy arrived in New York destined to be heroes. Well, fate sure has a funny way of handling things… After some shenanigans and intense struggles with personal identity, the two FINALLY got their chance to shine. Where are our heroes now? At home, wrangling ELEVEN demons- I mean… Five year olds…

“LILLIAN! TIMBER IS SPRAYING WATER ALL OVER THE KITCHEN!” Water Boy cries out, getting spurted in the face by his third child, a blonde girl with blue eyes.

“Oh yeah? Well, Ryota is missing entirely!” Lillian calls out, she’s searching for her eleventh child, a blonde with eyes as red as his mother’s.

“Hah hah hah! Water go squirt!” Timber shrieks, spraying water everywhere.

Out of the eleven children, Luka Warm Water is Lillian’s favorite. Luka was the first born, a Lopospole (wolf person) like his mother. Now, Luka is a particularly interesting child as his dark blue hair is parted by a golden lightning bolt. The tip of the lightning bolt ends at his birthmark, a black Diamond that is set just above and between his magenta pink eyes.

“Oh, I know where Ryota is...” NightSky says with a smirk. This is the ninth kid, a Lopospole with pure dark blue hair and light blue eyes.

“Really? Please help me out and locate him for me!” Lillian says.

“Luka ate him,” NightSky says with a laugh.

Oh yes, some of the kids are nasty little gremlins and like to swallow each other whole. Lillian also is prone to doing this, but seeing her own kids do it feels different to her. Luka has swallowed his siblings multiple times as the main doer of this act. However, the second child, River the Lopospole, has also done this multiple times. He’s the one with dark blue hair with light blue ripples in it and medium blue eyes.

“LUKA!” Lillian shrieks.

Luka waddles into the room as a wolf. His huge belly is dragging against the ground. He looks up at his mother and grins. The lump in his belly wriggles.

“Luka! What did I tell you about eating your siblings?!” Lillian scolds.

“That I can eat them as long as I don’t digest them?” Luka asks, sitting up and prodding his belly.

“No! I said never eat your siblings!” Lillian yells, “Now spit him up!”

Luka pukes Ryota up. Ryota laughs and wipes the saliva off of himself. Lillian sighs and hands Ryota his school bag. Water Boy is cleaning up the watery mess that Timber created.

The fourth child, NightTreasure the Lopospole, is casually watching the chaos unfold. His black hair is blotched with bits of gold and his eyes are blue like his dad’s. Water Boy is nearly done cleaning up the spilt water, but then the fifth child, Ocean, sprays some more water onto the floor. Water Boy gives an exhausted death glare to his son who has blue hair with black tips and shockingly green eyes.

“Okay, okay, get the children to kindergarten… I’m already late for work…” Water Boy says, absorbing all the excess water.

“Have a good day, Joshie!” Lillian says.

“Hah hah, very funny… I’m NOT Joshie…” Water Boy says and walks out the front door.

Masami, the sixth child runs after her dad, her blonde hair falling into her blue eyes. Water Boy gently push her back into the house. While doing so, he accidentally shoved her into Beach, the seventh child who looks similar to his sister Masami.

“Children, get in line, right now!” Lillian yells.

“What are you gonna do if we don’t? Eat us?” NightTreasure asks, casually leaning against a wall.

“I very well could, NightTreasure…” Lillian says with a smug smirk.

“Oh shoot!” NightTreasure exclaims.

The last few kids causing mischief right now are Moe (pronounced Mow-ee) who is quite smaller than her siblings, and Sota who appears to be a normal human aside from his hair being half blue and half gold (and also the fact that he has bright red eyes).

Lillian is utterly exhausted, and so is Water Boy. In fact, Water Boy only got to rest three hours between this, his third job, and his previous job. Despite working three jobs, there hasn’t been enough money to pay all their debts. Lillian has agreed to work a job as well now that the children are old enough for school.

The old President, Walter Garret, who had done so much to provide for these heroes, has since left the office. He served four very controversial years and gained many enemies. As such, a new guy was voted into office. President Jail Widen.

The children finally settle down and get in line. Lillian sighs in relief and guides all of her children out of the house. Water Boy is long gone, well on his way to work. Checking every once in awhile, Lillian manages to get all of her children down to their elementary school without losing anyone.

“Good morning, teachers and staff! The eleven Water children are here and ready to learn!” Lillian says, one eye twitching as though she is on the verge of losing her sanity again.

“Oh, nice, I’ve got this, Mrs. Water. You get to work!” the principal says, rounding up the children.

“Thank you!” Lillian says.

“Mom! Don’t leave!” Luka calls out suddenly.

“Luka, you’re going to be fine. Respect the teachers, don’t eat your classmates. I have to get to work!” Lillian says.

“Mom, please! You have to come to class with us!” Luka cries.

“I want you to stay, as well!” Sota exclaims.

“I will be back, I am not abandoning you,” Lillian says and bends to hug each of her kids.

“Come on, children, let’s get you all to class,” the principal says.

Lillian watches for a moment as the children are escorted away. She sighs and dashes back out the door. Work is calling for her and she must get there as soon as possible. As a wolf, she dashes down the street at over 40 MPH.

“I’m going to be late!” Lillian cries out.

The cars honk and swerve to avoid hitting the black wolf. She keeps going without looking back. A few turns later and she skids to a halt in front of an unmarked door. She transforms back into her humanoid form, smoothens her ruffled hair, and opens the door.

“I’m soooo sorry I’m late!” Lillian exclaims, stepping into the room.

There are a few other people in the room. They turn to glance at who has just entered the room. One of the people is a man with short curly black hair. He and Lillian accidentally lock eyes for a moment.

“Ancient Warrior?!” Lillian exclaims.

“No way…” the man says, gasping in surprise.

“Wait, hold on, you two know each other?” one of the other people asks.

“I’M SO SORRY!” Lillian wails, running and hugging the curly haired man.

“It’s okay… I’m okay, now… I’m just… I never expected to see you again…” Ancient Warrior says, returning the hug.

“And you are real! I knew you weren’t just a figment of my imagination!” Lillian says, crying all over the man.

“Shhhh, shhhh, don’t cry… Listen. My name is Sha-Dao. Ancient Warrior is my nickname,” Ancient Warrior says.

“What…?” Lillian asks, letting go of Sha-Dao.

“Sha-Dao. Like Shadow,” Sha-Dao says.

“Oh! Okay!” Lillian says and laughs, “Today is my first day at this place!”

“Yes, indeed. Welcome to the Special Forces, Lillian. Might I remind you that this is a top secret organization and there will be serious consequences if you are caught telling others about us. Your training will begin shortly. Should you decide to quit, we will wipe all your memories from the time we asked you to join us until the day you quit,” the boss says, snarling threateningly at Lillian.

“Yes, sir! I will do as I am told! …for the most part…” Lillian says and giggles.

“You better!” the boss yells.

“Look, I need money to pay off my debt. My husband is working multiple jobs already. I was told that this job was right up my alley,” Lillian says.

“Then you better obey your orders,” the boss says.

“Yes, sir!” Lillian says, saluting so hard that she nearly topples over backwards.

“…and don’t do that, you’ll look like a fool,” the boss grumbles.

“Oh, okay, sir!” Lillian says, standing back up straight.

“Do you even realize what you are getting yourself into?” Sha-Dao whispers.

“Ummmm… Maybe?” Lillian replies.

“This ISN’T a fun job,” Sha-Dao says.

“Ahem! Agent Shadow Wolf,” the boss says.

“Yes, sir?” Sha-Dao asks, saluting.

“You seem so keen to keep talking to the young lady… How about you train her?” the boss asks with a snicker.

“Me?! But… Yes, sir. I will do as I am told,” Sha-Dao says, rather reluctantly.

“Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Can this day possibly get any better?!” Lillian asks, absolutely losing her mind in excitement.

“CONTROL YOURSELF, LILLIAN!” the boss yells.

“Yes, sir!” Lillian exclaims.

“Sir. I will do everything in my power to make sure she doesn’t fail you. I have worked with her in the past. I know how she thinks,” Sha-Dao says, a serious look on his face.

“Training montage, let’s go! Let’s go! Let’s go!” Lillian exclaims, hopping around gleefully.

“This is going to be difficult…” Sha-Dao says with a sigh.

“Where do we begin?! I wanna start now!” Lillian says, her tail wagging so fast it was a blur.

“We can start with your uniform. You don’t seriously intend on going on missions in that outfit, do you?” Sha-Dao asks.

“It’s worked thus far,” Lillian points out.

“Yes, but we have a company uniform. Otherwise I’d be shirtless,” Sha-Dao says with a wink.

“Ohhhhhh! That’s why you’re wearing a suit. See, I thought you put a suit on because you’re not dead anymore,” Lillian says, laughing.

Sha-Dao smiles a bit. He heads to the supply closet and picks out a little bullet proof vest. Lillian is short at only 5’ 3”, so a regular vest would be useless on her. Carefully, Sha-Dao straps the vest onto Lillian and…she falls over from the weight.

“Oh come on!” Sha-Dao exclaims, face-palming.

“Sorry! I didn’t expect this article of clothing to be so heavy!” Lillian says with a groan.

“Get up. NOW!” Sha-Dao commands sternly, growling a bit.

“Getting up. Yep. Yep,” Lillian says, standing up.

Lillian wobbles a bit, still not used to the vest. She has carried plenty more weight than this before. Back in her last adventure, she had carried Water Boy and ran full speed. Lillian takes a deep breath, steadying herself. Sha-Dao watches, smiling a bit.

“Well done,” Sha-Dao says.

“Thank you!” Lillian exclaims, beaming proudly.

“You will learn fast. I know you,” Sha-Dao says.

“Soooo, I’m wearing the vest. Does it shift with me like the rest of my clothes, or…” Lillian asks.

Sha-Dao opens his mouth to say something. Lillian dashes, turning into a wolf. The heavy weight of the vest trips her up again. Sha-Dao sighs heavily as he watches the small black wolf tumble and face plant.

“Lillian…” Sha-Dao says.

“I’m okay!” Lillian says, lifting herself off of the ground.

“No, it does not shift…” Sha-Dao says with a heavy sigh. “You realize that would defeat the purpose, right?”

“Wait! How did you get it to not shift?!” Lillian asks, looking shocked.

Sha-Dao stares blankly for a moment before replying, “They tested the vests on me.”

“Wow. Okay, so like my super stretch suit,” Lillian says.
