Chapter 2
Episode 2– Encounter with the Dragon Slayer
Their journey leads them to a vast desert, where Koko spots a lone figure walking in the distance. His fur stands on end.
“Oh no… we need to turn back,” Koko whispers.
“Why?” Anikai asks.
“That’s Blaze. The legendary Dragon Slayer. His Flame Shinkai makes him one of the strongest warriors alive. We do not want to mess with him.”
But before Koko can stop him, Anikai is already walking toward Blaze.
“Hey, you look pretty strong,” Anikai says.
Blaze ignores him and keeps walking.
Anikai grins. “Wanna join me on my journey?”
Blaze scoffs. “Not interested.”
“Then let’s make a deal,” Anikai insists. “If I win in a fight, you have to join me. If you win, I’ll leave you alone.”
Blaze stops. He eyes Anikai for a moment before smirking. “Fine.”
They take their stances. The battle begins.
Anikai charges forward, throwing a punch, but Blaze blocks it with his katana and counters with a powerful kick that sends Anikai tumbling.
Anikai quickly recovers and headbutts Blaze, knocking him down. Blaze retaliates, sweeping Anikai’s legs and sending him to the ground. Without hesitation, Blaze summons a massive fireball and hurls it at Anikai, engulfing him in flames.
Time passes—one hour later, both fighters are exhausted, their battle still raging on.
Koko, who had fallen asleep mid-fight, wakes up to the sound of explosions lighting up the sky like fireworks. He watches in awe as Anikai and Blaze prepare their final attacks.
“Devourer!” Anikai roars.
Blaze pulls down his scarf, revealing a devastating mark on his cheek. His power surges. The battlefield erupts into chaos as the two clash, their abilities colliding in an explosion of fire and force.
After an intense struggle, Anikai lands the final blow. Blaze collapses to one knee, breathing heavily.
“I win,” Anikai says, extending a hand.
Blaze glares at him, refusing the help as he stands on his own. “Tch. A deal’s a deal.”
Koko rushes over, eyes wide with amazement. “Woah! You actually beat him!”
Blaze, now a reluctant ally, joins them as they walk off into the horizon, marking the end of Episode 2.
