POWER THAT BINDS LOVE

Summary

💀📖 "Power That Binds Love" - A Dark Romantic Fantasy What happens when a soul cursed by Heaven catches the attention of Hell? Athena Vivalda is numb. Not broken. Not grieving. Just... void. She walks the earth with no dreams, no attachments, no care for the living or the dead - and certainly no faith in God. But one strange encounter sets her spiraling into a world that blurs the line between myth and damnation. Enter Azarel Dearil - a figure whispered about in ancient tongues. He isn't here to redeem her. He isn't here to destroy her. He wants her to feel. And that makes him dangerous. "You want death, Athena. I want to give you something worse." Because if she falls in love, she dies - not in body, but in everlasting guilt, tormented beyond hell itself. "Firstly, I'm not going against him, neither do I believe in him. He may have created me, but what gives him the right to demand I worship him?" "He's not the hero humans see him to be. He's the writer - he decides who gets to be the villain or the hero.".................................... 💔 "Fall in love, and you die." But death would be too easy for Athena Vivalda. Her curse promises something far worse - a life haunted by guilt, a soul trapped between Heaven and Hell. She's rich. Untouchable. Emotionless by design. Until he appears. Azarel Dearil - mysterious, magnetic, possibly the Devil himself - doesn't come to save. He comes to awaken everything she's buried. He offers her a deal: no contracts, no strings. Just one meeting a week. But the more they talk, the more she starts to feel... And the more she feels, the closer she is to destruction. God watches. Hell waits. And love might be the deadliest sin of all.

INTRO

If Heaven is real, Hell is real. Where do I get to go to? What if my sins aren’t big enough to send me to Hell and the goodness of my heart aren’t able to send me to Heaven? Where do I then go to...? I died God couldn’t accept me, even the devil rejected me. Why am I different? Why am I seeing darkness all over, where am I, do I even care... Nope I don’t.

Hello, I’m Vivalda Athena and I’m Dead. ☠☠☠☠☠

Seriously, I’m dead... I know what you’re expecting, a story right? Like how did I get here? Well unlike most regular people, I don’t have a story, I never lived a life. I can summarize it — grew up alone, from the orphanage to living on my own... I worked at a shop (looking at the world through a black and white lens).

Nothing ever attracted me.

I wasn’t happy, neither was I sad... nor was I happy, I never smile nor did I cry. I just died of boredom... Now the devil is telling me that I’m in the space of my own Grief. How funny

Grief, that’s a funny joke. God said I didn’t have meaning in my life...

“What do I do now,” I asked in a bored tone.

“Well your case is special, so yeah, you have two choices,” The Devil said.

*Black out*

REASON TO LIVE GIVES REASONS TO DIE!!

I opened my eyes only to meet a pitch black place. At first I remembered I was in my room staring at nothing, hoping I die—am I still in that dilemma.

“Where am I?” I asked in a bored tone.

“Hello Young Griever,”

I’m Alaric by the way, I’m the messenger of the Heavens and Hell, and I’ve been sent here to be a necessary service.”

“Why would I be needing service?” I asked.

“Umm... how do I say this, well you are dead!”

“Okay.” I said, not even shocked.

“What’s with the reaction normal? You’re supposed to be frantic and say, ‘I died!!’ or something like that.” He said

I observed he can’t be the Devil because he is way too chatty to be the devil.

“Nah I’m cool with being dead, can we get this done with and if I’m understanding this properly. I’m dead and I ain’t in Heaven nor Hell”

“Yep” he said

“Now what are we gonna do? If you’re gonna turn me to a grim reaper, I’m sorry but I won’t do that,” I said.

“Well what we do in situations like this, you have two choices,” Alaric said.

“Which are?”

“Be a messenger for the Heavens for a decade, go back to Earth as an immortal or whatever you wish to be,” Alaric said.

“The other choice is?”

“Perish, you can never be created, you would—Officially cease from existence, so now the choice is in your hands. So make it, I really don’t enjoy being here.” Alaric said.

“I choose to perish!”

“Huh? You want to like cease from the names of the living and dead?” Alaric asked.

“Yes, if that an issue inform me.”

“No, but I would have to call my higher- ups, are you sure?”

“Be fast, I’m sure” I said.

“Okay” he said as he left life a swift of wind

After what seemed like forever, a Demon walked in by opening a door that was never there Into the empty dark space.

“Is she the one?” he asked as he finally turned to stare at me.

“Lucifer, she is the Griefer with the 2nd choice.”

I took in the features of the Demon in front of me, he wasn’t having horns like the movies, to be honest he was good looking, his eyes was the pure reflection of pain, his facial features described dominance. He stared at me deep into my eyes as I did likewise.

“Let’s get this over with, but why am I feeling like God is going throw a fist without seeking his ‘consent’?” Alaric said.

“We just have to wait for that later then,” the Demon replied.

“As the Ruler of Hell, the Second in command of mortalit after God, the banisher, destroyer, I call upon the heavens and Hell and other bodies in between.... to perish the Griefer with the incipit: Vivalda Athena, created on the day of Sabbath, born on the 27th October 1999, died on 24th December 2024, to cease from existence I remove every sign related to her, she can never have the gift of life again , she shall never have the anti-Christ logo nor can she be called Sons of God.

I hereby destroy and cease you from existence! He snapped his fingers as I felt my body going through spontaneous combustion.

“Oh and Athena It’s gonna hurt a little” Alaric said. ”

You don’t have to be soft on her Alaric,” The Demon said.

“Even as I’m dying for good, I still have no regrets, no desire to live,” I mentally noted.

“I heard the sound of trumpets or is it my ears playing tricks on me?”

“Well speak of God, I don’t know why, he likes making an entrance” Alaric said.

“God? Does he want to watch me dying again?”

WAIT!! An echo said.

Before I could process what’s happening, I saw myself in...

HEAVEN? HUH,........ WHT AM I DOING HERE?
