I’m dancing with you in my head. it’s dark and you lean close to my ear and whisper words I can’t recognize, I look up and a blank slate replaces your face, you’re cute blemishes, your small pointy nose, your full eyebrows, your rose colored lips, your longing eyes. All gone. I wake up and I realize it was all a dream, I want to roll over and see you but you’re not there. Tears fill my eyes and embrace my pillow case like I would to you after a long day. the air is still. So still I can hear my blood flowing and my heart pumping. I look at the ceiling and try to imagine your face looking back at me, I can’t see you. I reach my hand into the air towards the ceiling in hopes that I’ll find you, but again you’re not there. I yearn for sleep so that we can be together again, in my dreams I’m never alone I’m with you swaying back and forth into nothing, tho the darkness surrounds us I feel light in your presence. When god made me he made sure I wasn’t like everyone else I never needed food or water to exist. I just need you. Not your skin not your body not even a kiss I just need you presence.
