Prologue
Running was something I was always used to. Its what I've been doing since I was a child. Running from my problems, running from my parents, running from expectations. And here I was again, running. This time I was running for my life. The creature was not too far behind, catching up to me in long strides. My lungs burned and my feet ached but I didn't dare to stop. Run was all I could do now. The forest blurred in shades of brown and green around me. Twigs snapped and dug into my heels. There was no clearing, not for another mile or so. No villages, no people to save me. My sword had been long lost down the path and I had nothing else to defend myself with. I couldnt fight this beast, no, I would never win. Its agility and strength outmatched me. All I could do was run.
