Loved it!
"This is my favourite collection of poems on Inkitt! I hope Aurelia keeps posting poetry, because I will happily keep reading her work. It's powerful and evocative, emotional yet not soppy. Also the cover is amazing. "
Rebellion
"This is not poetry — it’s prayer in rebellion. Each piece in Bones of Unspoken Vows reads like a sacred unraveling, a chorus of lament and defiance carved in salt and bone. There’s an aching beauty in the way Aurelia Pallas dissects faith, silence, survival, and the hollow hush that follows unanswered prayers. Lines like “I learned to sing to the silence as if it belongs to me” or “I wore the storm like silk” don’t just pierce — they linger, echoing long after you’ve closed the page. The use of repetition, elemental imagery, and spiritual inversion creates a rhythm that feels both holy and profane — as though we’re witnessing the speaker anoint herself with her own fire. I’m especially drawn to how this collection honors the voice that was once quieted — now risen, feral, scarred, and unrepentant. The arc from reverence to reclamation is fierce. “I was never the offering. I was the god” is one of the most powerful closures I’ve read in a long time. To anyone who’s ever whispered into silence and heard nothing back: this is for you. You’ll find your voice somewhere between the dust and the divine 🌙 "
things i never said to the gods
"Top-notch poetry resonates when the intimacy of voice connects and ignites broader human reflections, when vivid imagery flows from a writer's pen. Here are a teenager's meditations on unanswered, buried prayers, to “a god carved from the bones of longing.” Where the poet built altars in the hollow of their ribs and “Flesh turned to parchment, blood to ink and wrote hymns no god should hear.” This is an engaging voice in its becoming. Talent is a bandied word. Not in this case. So do yourself a favour and read lines like: “Let the hope bloom into bruises, Where no gods would dare to kiss.”"
