Chapter 1
It was the start of a normal ordinary day for Kaden Jacobs.He was a 19 year old college student.He was an acceptional successful second year senior among students, always got good grades and while looking for a company to work at as his internship task started, a scout offered him a once in a life time offer. The sacrifice was to leave everything he had behind and work overseas.They exchanged phone numbers in case Kaden had his answer, whether he would accept or not.
Kaden went home troubled not sure of what to do. He got home and his mother could see that something was bothering her one and only son. Kaden greeted but he didn't even care to look in his mother's direction.His mother called him back before he could ascend the stairs.
"Whats up mom? " Kaden asked sighing. "What's got your mood out of control"his mother asked while drying her hands placing the cloth on the kitchen counter."Nothing.I'm fine."Kaden replied while sitting on a chair."Are you sure?When you got home everyday you'd give a full scale lecture and a warm cozy hug." she said sitting next to Kaden taking his hands into her hers.
"I need to ask you something..."Kaden said retrieving his hand."Feel free to ask when you're ready, sweetie" she said standing up and walking to the sink taking two glasses and rinsing it before taking the juice in the fridge and pouring it into the glasses."So...is this a good or bad question?You're scaring me.You always have so much to say but you're quiet" she said handing him a glass before sitting next to him again."If someone offered you a job at a global company would you accept?" he said picking up the glass then taking a long gulp."I would accept" she said raising a brow."In order for you to work at the company you would have to leave your family behind... Would you still accept?" he said clearing his throat.
His mother was silent and looked at him while her lips were pressed together. She drank her juice and when she aced the cup down only did she begin to speak."I honestly wouldn't be able to accept the offer...how can I leave everything behind? My family,friends and especially... You...How?" she was silent a few seconds then continued."I would consult with my family first... If they can understand I would consider the offer and accept... I will visit and still keep in touch,but you will have to relocate once I am used to the cities set up... That's my answer to your nearly impossible question"she said taking his empty glass,standing up and rinsed and dried the cup before placing it in the cupboard.Kaden stood up and walked to his room entered and closed the door before laying on his bed.
