Randy Hill is a police officer at the top of his game. He plans on proposing to the chief's daughter, despite her being a socialist. But he is soon devastated when he catches her sleeping with his partner. Upon heading to the bar to cope, he meets a self-proclaimed prostitute named Helen. He eventually sleeps with her to even even things out, but she has a darker secret.
The room was pitch black. Despite this, Helen got up out of bed, fetched a cigarette, and managed to light it, all in one go. She was completely naked, but the only part of her the lighter made visible was her face; and not to mention, the guy in bed next to her was still asleep. Was it late at night or was it early in the morning? Only God knew the answer. So what exactly made Helen wake up around this time?
