The Day It All Started
A girl was sitting on the street. Hugging her legs. It was raining. She was soaked and crying. Her light blue skin was wet, just like her night blue hair. Her blue eyes were empty. Had a lack of light.
She felt something before her and looked up. A tall man. A black hat. Brown jacket. Black hair with hints of grey. Left eye a deep, dark red. Other white and blind with a burn scar around it. A gun was shining on his belt.
"Why are you crying, kiddo?" He asked. "Where are your parents?"
Girl wiped her face, but still crying.
"T- they left me... My mom, dad... sister... They all said i was a monster..."
Man kneeled down. "Why would they say that?"
"Look at me!" Girl opened up her arms. "My skin, hair, eyes... A- a snake bit me and... i become this monster..." She showed the snake bite on her ankle.
Man put his hat on her head. Toke off his jacket and wrapped her in it. He picked her up and started walking.
"W- what are you doing, sir?"
"They called you a monster. Lots of people call me monster, too."
"Why would they call you that?"
Man pointed at his scar while carrying her with one arm. "This little thing scared most people."
Girl cling to his chest. "It’s not scary... It’s cool..."
Man smiled. Barely. Small. But genuiely. "Well, your skin is pretty cool, too. 2 cool monster. I think we make a good team."
Girl looked up to him. Smiled softly. Now, there was a light in her eyes.
"My name is Sora, sir."
"You can call me Liam, kiddo."
And it all started like this...
