Summary

15-year-old Ivy is a popular girl at her school, but she wishes she wasn't. She just somehow grabbed the popularity. When she gets into a fight with 2 people, Ivy wishes she had someone to talk to. So when she stumbles on a YouTuber named Jasper-(It's a real channel called RusticRoo) who is a therian - that's the only person she could think of. Jasper would be the perfect friend...if only he knew who she was. When bumping into him when walking to the store, Ivy goes crazy. After fangirling over him, Ivy asks for Jasper's guidance in becoming a furry, because for some reason it seems as if nature has been calling out to her. He agreed to help her. After becoming a furry, Ivy and Jasper are faced with a whole new discovery... This book is mostly for me, because I just really need to write a story about me and him, and while I do think he's cute, (I'm a sucker for gingers.) this is kinda a romance, but more of a realizing-that-boyfriends-arent-everything look. Plus, I've done waaaay to many of those in my lifetime. It would be fun to make a friendship story with a person I haven't even personally met. This story includes language so far. More themes may appear as I write the story. Hope you guys enjoy!

Chapter 1

The class bell rang, calling the start of another school day. But I wasn't there, I was still casually walking down the hallway, totally unaware of the time. I had been daydreaming about nature again, something I do rather often. And I've never even gave one little part of my brain thought on it, but it was like my brain was calling me to go there and enjoy it. I hadn't had time to go though. I had been invited to so many parties and then had to catch up with school work. Being top of the class and the most popular was sometimes tiring. Like, I don't mean to brag, I'm definitely not that kinda bitch. One day I was just the most popular, for one specific reason that I do not know about. Shit, I thought when I heard the bell. Switching from walking to running, I dashed to the class. My sneakers squeaked as I stopped in front of the classroom. Everyone's heads turned to me, but just as I had expected, they didn't laugh or give me weird looks for being very sweaty from running club, they just stared in awe, some girls leaning over to whisper to their neighbor. The only person that wasn't happy was Mr. Caddel. "Ivy. You were almost late." I could never please Mr. Caddel. It's like being a good student, getting good grades, and respecting the teacher wasn't enough for him! I mean, what does this man want?! "Mr. Caddel, she's like, a second late, what are you gonna do? Kick her off the world?" Mr. Caddel gave my best friend Jade his famous death stare. Jade just did hers back. "You are not to speak to me like that, or I will kick you, off this earth."

"Better in space then with you," everyone ooohhed at Jade's comeback. Sometimes I don't understand how things are. Jade is the most popular girl here, or at least she should be. Look at me, I'm just pretty, but Jade? She is the most badass bitch that I've ever met. She fights off teachers like its nothing, gets what she wants from her parents, and had Victor, the popular boy, as her boyfriend. I'm surprised she got him, he doesn't even want me. But that's fine. Boyfriends are nothing to me. Boyfriends are everything to Jade though. Mr. Caddel had nothing to say to that, so he spoke to me. "Sit down Ivy, and don't do it again, I don't like late students in my class." I felt everyone's eyes still on me when I walked to my desk beside Jade. She looked at me like she was expecting me to say something. "What?"

"No thank you?"

"Fine, thanks." Jade nodded her approval. Suddenly, fingers from behind brushed my shoulder, begging for attention. But he wasn't going to get it. James Frio has tried to get my attention for years, but as I have already told him a million times, I'm not interested in anyone. "Ivy..." No matter how many times he's gonna call my name, no matter how many times he taps me, I'm never giving him the attention he wants. "Ivy come on..." I finally couldn't take it anymore. "Would you please stop?!" Instead of stopping he just smiled. "No. But I was wondering if you would want to come over this Saturday," I rolled my eyes at the question, whom he had already asked a million times. "You already know the answer James!"

"Good. What time?" I wanted to slap him so bad.

"I'm not coming over James! Now leave me alone," but of course, he didn't listen. "Come on, it'll be fun," James egged on. He had finally gotten to me. "Fine. I'll come over."

James looked surprised. "Really?"

"Yes really! But you have to promise me something." James tried to act like this wasn't the best news he's heard in a while, but I could tell it was. His body language told the whole story. He smoothly nodded, trying to get together his act. "After this you can't ask me to come over again, you got that?" Again, James nodded. Finally, I thought. I just needed to survive a few hours, then I would finally be free.

After class, Jade met up with me at my locker. "Hey, what was James talking to you about?" Jade always hears everything, sometimes I wonder if she has a third hidden eye. That's also another good reason that she should be the popular one instead of me, she's a gossip girl. She doesn't mean to be mean about it, but she still does gossip. "He invited me over once again, and hear me out with what I'm about to say," Jade gave me a confused look as I closed my locker door, all my books for my next class in hand. "I said yes. I'm going over this Saturday." She gasped, not believing that I would ever give in to James' begging. "What?! Why?! I thought you didn't like him!"

"I don't!" I exclaimed. "I just thought that I would go over once and tell him that it's never gonna happen again, so that's what I did. Trust me, this is gonna be the first and last time I'm ever at his house."

"Ok," We walked down the halls together. "Just don't get too attached to him."

"Attached? Why would I become attached in only a few hours?"

"I've watched enough movies to know that. Things either change really quickly or really slowly with relationships." Of course Jade knew that. What has she been watching? "Well things with you and Viktor sure went quickly." Jade said it was love at first sight, that she had been "put under his spell." I had never seen Jade so weak for him. She's usually chill with all the other ones, but apparently Viktor made her feel something. "Speaking of Viktor, we had our first kiss last night!" Now this was news. Jade likes taking things slow in a relationship, but here she is, 4 months with Viktor and she's already kissed him. I guess she really was "put under his spell." I'm happy for her, but I could really care less. "Really? Whats next, sex?" She bit her lip. "Maybe..."

"Jade!" Jade laughed. "I was only kidding."
