A Real Man

Summary

Ananya once believed in love, trusting Rehan — a man who seemed to care for her deeply. But what started as a fairytale quickly turned into a nightmare. Rehan didn’t love her. He used her, manipulating her emotions and treating her as nothing more than a sexual object. The betrayal was more than just emotional. He took intimate photos of her, violated her trust in the worst ways, and sent them to others, leaving her humiliated, broken, and exposed. Ananya’s world fell apart. The pain ran deeper than she could have ever imagined, and she thought she’d never recover. She blocked Rehan, not just from her life, but from every memory and piece of her self-worth that he’d torn apart. But healing doesn’t come from revenge — it comes from love. Rudra entered her life quietly. He wasn’t the flashy type or the one to promise grand gestures. He was just there, offering patience, kindness, and understanding. Over time, his steady presence and unyielding support showed Ananya that true love isn’t about control or manipulation; it’s about respect, trust, and healing. This is a story of survival, strength, betrayal, heartbreak, healing… and the discovery that not all men are the same. Some destroy you. Some rebuild you. And some… love you right.

Chapter 1; The illusion of love

It was a sunny charming morning in April. Ananya Sen; A loving pretty and beautiful girl living with her mother had just passed her 12th and stepped onto a new chapter: university. I's her first day in a new place.

*Alarm rings*

Ananya who was thinking about her first day of the new place was going to be waking from her bed and going to the bathroom to be fresh. She was just thinking and thinking about it all the time. For this thing sadly on the first day of her university she became late. She hurriedly went to the university.

An unknown place, unfamiliar faces were like waiting for her. But she doesn't have enough time to observe these things. In a hurry Ananya just started running in the corridor. In the next moment she was just bummed into someone— "Sorry!"; "It's ohk pretty girl" A voice said, flirty but not unkind. She saw that it was a boy with a faded denim jacket.

That was the first time Ananya met Rehan Roy.

Rehan Roy — A handsome guy belonging to a rich business family. In the university maybe every other girl wants him.

"Freshers?!" Rehan asked, raising his eyebrow.

"Yeah, It's my first day"

"Good luck", he said with a smirk and then disappeared in the crowd.

Ananya who was already late went to the orientation room finding a seat in the third row. Thankfully, the event hasn't started yet. Around her, everyone seemed to be forming quick connections, exchanging Instagram accounts, laughing over things they’d said. But Ananya was quieter. She observed more than she spoke. And just when she began to feel a little out of place—

"Hey, is this seat taken?"

A tall boy with an expensive watch and an even more expensive aura stood beside her. His smile was charming, confident—too confident.

"Yes, you can sit here," she replied politely with a smile.

He sat down with a dramatic sigh. "Thank God. I hate sitting alone. I'm Rehan Roy, by the way."

Ananya turned to him, politely smiling. "Ananya."

He looked at her for a second too long, then said, “Pretty name. Fits you.”

She laughed awkwardly, unsure whether to be flattered or uncomfortable.

After the session ended, Rehan turned to her with a smile.

“Coffee?! I know a place on campus that’s not that bad,” he asked, casually confident.

Ananya hesitated. She barely knew him, but something about his charm she felt easy to say yes to.

Days passed, and Rehan Roy became a familiar name in Ananya’s world.

He’d wave at her across the cafeteria and send funny or romantic texts late at night. It all happened so fast—how her phone lit up with his name every morning, how her diary slowly filled with memories of him.

He complimented her often.

"You're too sweet for me, Ananya," he’d say, brushing a strand of her hair behind her ear.

And she’d smile, heart racing, believing she was special.

One day Ananya saw a note stuck on a book in her locker.

"Meet me at the cafeteria at 5?!— Rehan"

At 5, she walked into the café near the main gate. Rehan was already there, waiting with two cups of coffee and that familiar smile—the one that once made her blush.

“You came,” he said, genuinely surprised. "Why shouldn't I?!"— she gently smiled.

He leaned forward. “Listen, I know we didn't know each other that much. But I like you, Ananya. I really do. Let’s start fresh. You and I could be good together. Believe me.”

"Uh... Wait thats too early. I really want some time for this" she blushed.

"Take as much time you need but please don't say no" Rehan said with little emotional and love.

Ananya went out from there.

Next for few days Ananya doesn't went to university because of her trip.

Ananya came back with a bright charm in her face that day.

Rehan who was waiting for her in the cafeteria was looking at her with flirty eyes.

Finally she says yes to her. And have coffee together. They both are really happy but Ananya was not only happy it seems like she found everything. Her life found a gem.
