Chapter 1: An Empty Patch

In the middle of Alex’s backyard, there was a small, empty patch of earth — just waiting for something special. Every day, Alex looked out the window at that bare spot, dreaming of what could grow there.

“I want to make a garden,” Alex whispered to the wind, eyes shining with excitement. “But not just any garden. I want it to be a rainbow — full of colors and flowers that tell stories about who we are.”

Alex ran inside and grabbed a notebook and a pencil. Sitting on the porch, they started sketching ideas: a big rainbow arching over the garden, flowers of every color, and little notes about what each one could represent.

“Every flower will be different,” Alex said aloud. “Each one will tell a story — about bravery, kindness, creativity, and love.”

That afternoon, Alex began gathering seeds. Some were from the garden, some were from friends, and some were given by neighbors who loved the idea.

“I’m going to plant a garden that shows everyone how special they are,” Alex whispered, feeling proud.

And so, the journey to create the Rainbow Garden began.
