Chapter 1
Vy POV
There are few things in life more satisfying than watching Tristan and Trent’s faces crumble into chaos.
And I was about to deliver them the most delicious surprise of their lives.
They thought their senior year at Royal University was going to be smooth—girls, parties, sports, flexing that Alpha aura. What they didn’t know? Their baby sister, Princess Vy Blaylock, aka me, academic genius and certified menace, was moving into their off-campus house.
Yes. Their sanctuary.
And no, I didn’t tell them.
Why would I? I worked my ass off to fast-track through school, graduated early with honors, and carefully orchestrated my housing assignment just to land exactly where it would hurt most: under their roof.
It wasn’t just about proximity. It was strategy.
I live to torment them. I thrive on extortion and blackmail.
After all, what are older brothers for?
They owe me. Every time I helped them lie to Daddy, every secret I covered, every late-night sneak-out I kept quiet—I charged interest. And now? I’m cashing in.
Mom says it’s “chaotic brilliance.”
Daddy calls it “pain in the ass.”
I call it justice.
But not everything was going to plan.
Gage.
My friend since diapers. He fast-tracked too, and he’s a year older. We used to be thick as thieves, but ever since his last birthday, he’s been weird. Distant. Avoidant.
Which is very un-Gage.
Like, we used to share candy, he’d follow me everywhere, he’d always rescue me and defend me, we shared inside jokes, and now he can’t even look me in the eye. He flinches when I sit too close. Talks like I’m going to break.
Is he mad at me? Did I miss something?
I don’t get it. He’s the only one who never treated me like a princess. But now, it’s like he’s trying to stay away. Like he knows something I don’t.
Whatever. That’s fine.
Let him squirm.
Because starting next week, we’re under the same roof.
And I always get to the bottom of things.
Whether he wants me to or not.
