Sherlock’s latest discovery

Sherlock is on the ground, one leg folded towards him and supported by his hands that prevent his back from spreading on the ground. He doesn't understand what's going on. He never saw the situation he is currently in coming. Nothing could have prepared him for it.

- You...

The word, whispered, filled with emotions that the consulting detective struggles to truly express.

- Me.

Sherlock's eyes widen. Where were the clues? Why didn't he see anything? How is it possible?

The other laughs.

- Oh Sherlock! If you knew how much fun I had with you!

The Holmes cringes. He tries to get up but one of his legs drags him to the ground, unable to support his weight. The man whistles in pain.

- Let's see, Sherlock! With such an injury, you won't get there anytime soon! Exclaims the other.

Because the left foot is no longer in its axis. He is behind instead of being in front. It's all swollen and reddish. Painful too. And yet, the man was not ready to give up. It's just not his type. This personality trait had always exasperated his brother, Mycroft. That's probably why Holmes takes John's cane to lean on it and stand up.

- Hahahaha! You never know when to give up, do you? Finally... If that hadn't been the case, I would never have been interested in you...

Sherlock grits his teeth and tries to take one blow to another but almost falls because of the condition of his foot. It only makes the other laugh louder.

- You know, I had a lot of fun. But every good thing has an end. Your end. You know, the Jim Moriarty you met... Ha! A guy completely confused! With a hell of a medical record, you can believe me! Convince him that he was at the head of the network... child's play! I found it by chance. A guy who bore this name that all the guys at the head of the network for more than two hundred years have used as a pseudonym! I never thought you would fall into the trap so easily. You disappointed me, you know. Too bad!

Once again, Sherlock grinds his teeth.

- John...

John leans on the door frame, a bright smile well in place.

- Really? Do you want to continue calling me that? After all, it may be my real name, it is not the one that is most used to designate me.

The former military doctor drops along the door, a firearm pointed at his roommate who fell back to the ground because of the intense pain rising along his leg.

- You know, you would have only needed one very small thing to discover the truth. It would have been so easy! Fortunately for me, I knew that it would never occur to you to do it. Call my sister to find out about me. Harry would have told you that the nice little doctor was just a role. A cosmic farce. That I am a psychopath. Probably the worst kind, by the way. But you didn't do it. Do you know why?

John approaches the detective and whispers the answer to him.

- Because you clearly have family problems, especially with your brother. Unconsciously, you reproduced this same pattern with me when you saw my sister's old phone. I was also very amused when you said that she had given it to me so as not to keep anything from her relationship with her ex-wife. I was the one who broke everything between them, just for the pleasure of making her suffer. Now it's my trophy. You were so beside everything from the beginning every time I was concerned... Hahahaha!

Holmes grinds his teeth, holding back so as not to look away.

- It's time to say goodbye now!

John Watson, also known as James Moriarty, suddenly grabs the other man's collar. He kisses him by force before throwing him to the ground. Then he shoots him in the head.
