Humdrum Omega
Two alphas encompassed right about me and jeered at my shattered countenance. I flinched and farted in fear. I fidgeted and wiggled under the groaning and howling of these bullies.
The other night, I sustained a broken jaw when an omega pummeled me to a pop.
A few hours ago, a luna had me throwing up after pinning my skull to the earth.
And now these two dare-devil alphas were about to arouse the weakling in me.
About taking to my heels, they pounced on me like a cat, and clawed my neck and limbs.
The other all-brown fur alpha sent his blow on my brow. I writhed in pain and twitched on the ground.
Seeing this storm was not going to end soon, I let loosed and howled at the tops of my voice to call on my mate.
Like the speed of thunder, she leapt from her niche, and paced to my rescue.
“Mate!” she chanted and scowled her face at my adversaries.
My bullies were scared upon gazing on her red-flaming eyes and hostility.
While one escaped her claws, the other could not make it; she clenched on his throat and clobbered him to death.
As a kitten, I whined and got swallowed in my gloom while I lay on the ground.
She gave me her hand, “Rise, mate.”
And I staggered to my trembling limbs and broke down in tears.
If you ask Rogan Pack about the only weakling they had, they would mention Brian.
Yes. My name was Brian, an Omega and an ardent weakling. If not for my mate Sasha, who often fought off my bullies, these alphas would have reduced me to a vegetable. Sasha had proven to be an antagonistic mate. It was in such scenario as this, on her eighteenth birthday, that she smelled me to be her mate after fighting off my bullies.
“When are you going to be formidable to fight these foes?” Sasha queried.
I sniffed and sobbed.
“Behold your black eyes. Your father would be mad at you as usual. You have to develop survival tentacles and challenge these bullies. I loathe seeing you being beaten like an indolent mouse.”
I kept at my wailing and there was no stopping me. She held my face and pepped me with a deep kiss.
“Let’s go hunting. You will be formidable if you go hunting with me. I have a lot of survival instinct to teach you.” She affirmed.
I gave a nod.
She took me by the arm, and we bustled off. I barely could catch a rodent but Sasha caught a colony of birds and two huge deer.
“I want to take my life. I am not fit to survive,” I yowled.
When she took me home, it was late and the full moon hounded us with much illumination now.
“I am scared to go to my father,” I bawled.
“Why? You are not going to shy away all your life.”
“Father will be mad at me for returning home with yet another black eye. I am ruined.”
“Brian!”
I flinched at the sound of his groan. Father’s unperturbed face flashed at me before I paced to him, shivering.
My father was Alpha Rogan. He was an astute scientist and one of the best in Rogan Pack. Alpha kings from all walks of life had gained from his scientific resourcefulness.
“Who gave you these black eyes? Did they bully you again today? Oh Brian, how long are you going to remain susceptible, even to the dumbest luna? You are such a castaway!”
Father barked. I ran into the arms of my mother, who nursed me on her bosom until I was lulled to sleep.

The thumping of a thousand feet on our staircase and decking startled me form sleep.
I perceived father by my side; his face lit up with sweat and trembling.
“Take this virus, son. Run away with your mom. You must protect your mom and don’t you expose this virus to any alpha. Run and never look back…”
My shivering lips asked father a million questions.
“You don’t have to be weary anymore, son. It is time for you to change your fate.” He squeezed the content into my trembling arm. “I discovered it for your sake. This is alpha virus of immortality. Once you ingest it, you seize to be a weakling. Your immortality will be activated and you can be formidable and ruthless to conquer your adversaries.”
Mom was by my side now. She was bawling at the tops of her voice.
“But why, darling? You must come with us,” mom bickered and wiped her tears,
“No, I can’t come with you. I must stay back and fight them while you escape with our son. Lord Mayor and his alphas are coming for the virus. I rather die than hand it over to him. Go! Go, sweetheart! They are coming …”
Father couldn’t finish his statement. He was midway shifting into his all-black fur, when innumerable alphas descended on him and clawed his skull to a bloodied mesh.
Thunder clapped in the cloud above
Mom squealed; she couldn’t make it. It was too late. Another alpha clenched her throat and yanked it open like egg.
“Where is the virus?” the voice beamed and howled ruggedly after shifting back into his mortal form. “I am Lord Mayor, the Alpha King of a thousand packs. No alpha can stand my audacity!” he barked and throbbed his chest.
Heavy thundering and lightning clapped in the sky above.
I noticed I had peed on myself as I perched in my hideout like a butterfly.
“Burn down the entire building. If I can’t have the virus, no alpha can!” he groaned.
Quickly the alphas shifted back into their mortal forms to carry out his orders
In a jiffy, our house went up in ravaging flames.
I convulsed and died a million times in my head…
