Chapter 1: The Shocking Revelation

Feyre Parker had always dreamed of college life filled with late-night study sessions, spontaneous adventures, and maybe even a whirlwind romance or two. As she strolled across the vibrant campus of Crescent University, the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the sprawling lawns and historic buildings. Her heart raced with excitement; she was finally free from the clutches of high school and ready to embrace her newfound independence.

But that excitement came to a screeching halt when she received a text from her father: *"We need to talk. It's important."*

Feyre's heart sank. She hadn't seen her father in months, and the thought of him coming all the way to campus filled her with a mix of dread and anticipation. After a long night of studying, she met him at a coffee shop nearby, her pulse quickening as she approached the table where he sat, fidgeting with his coffee cup.

"Dad, what's going on?" she asked, trying to mask her concern with a smile.

"Fey, there's something I need to tell you," he began, his voice heavy with gravity. "I've made arrangements for your future."

"What kind of arrangements?" she asked, her stomach tightening.

"I've arranged a marriage for you," he said, his eyes locking onto hers.

Feyre blinked in disbelief. "A marriage? Dad, I'm only eighteen! This is insane!"

"It's not just any marriage. It's with Ethan Blackwood."

Her breath caught in her throat. Ethan Blackwood was notorious around campus—he was the head of one of the Alpha Werewolf fraternity's, a group known for their wild parties and even wilder reputation. He was handsome, with tousled dark hair and piercing blue eyes, but his fierce demeanor and cruel pranks had made him the bane of Feyre's existence.

"Ethan? The rude frat guy? You're kidding, right?" she exclaimed, her voice rising in disbelief.

"This is serious, Fey. It's a pact between our families—a way to strengthen alliances," her father explained, his tone unyielding.

"Strengthen alliances? Dad, this isn't medieval times! I can't just marry someone I don't even know!" Feyre protested, her frustration boiling over.

"Trust me, you'll come to appreciate this arrangement. Ethan may seem rough around the edges, but he has a good heart. You'll see," her father insisted.
