Vanishing Point
Vanishing Point
Misunderstood… stepped on… used as a rag—
All the damn time, it felt like a drag.
In the dark, she’s alone… tears on her face,
So much pain in her chest—lost in this place.
By day, she’s still caring, still hoping they’ll change,
Still seeing the good, even when it’s so strange.
But they keep on pushing, they keep on taking,
Piece by piece, her light… slowly breaking.
They call her too soft, someone easy to use,
Never stopping to see the light they abuse.
They push her away, like she don’t even count,
No one’s got her back when she’s burning out.
She starts slipping away, to a place no one sees,
Fading in the corners, like autumn leaves.
The girl who once smiled, now quiet and small,
The fire in her heart put out by them all.
And they start to notice, the light’s growing dim,
She’s no longer there—no warmth left within.
They whisper, “Where did she go? What happened to her spark?”
But it’s all their fault… they left her in the dark.
She’s lost in the shadows, no longer the same,
A ghost of herself, no one to blame
But the ones who took, until there was nothing left,
The world that once knew her mourns what they had.
No more too soft, no more sweet,
No more laughter, no more beat.
She’s faded away, like the last, dying light—
A whisper of a girl who might have been.
