In a matter of seconds, everything can disintegrate if you’re not careful. Chase’s focus on the gun’s barrel and the trigger’s sensation blinds him to the aftermath of shooting his brother. All he sees is the face of someone he deeply cares about, someone who is like a sister to him, and the pain Liam caused her. The consequences of his actions only become clear to Chase once he is living in the aftermath. Braden’s childhood was marred by his father’s wrong turn and abandonment that left him without both parents for years. Finally, it seemed like life was offering Braden the second chance he had yearned for. But all hope is shattered when his father is killed. Witnessing his parents’ separation and divorce, a life he wouldn’t wish upon anyone, Braden had endured years without both parents due to his father’s mistakes. The prospect of a second chance was within reach, until Chase Masters destroyed it all. Fate brings them together, forcing the boys to confront the person they despise the most. Trapped against their will, they are assigned an assignment that compels them to express their deepest sentiments, reliving the pain they inflicted upon each other. But as they pour their emotions onto paper, they begin to realize that their anger may not be as consuming as they believed. Is it possible for them to see the good amidst all the bad? Or was their connection doomed from the very beginning?
