Chapter 1
You ran.
Your heart pounded in your chest like it was about to burst.
You didn’t dare look behind you—didn’t want to know if they were still chasing you.
But you could hear their footsteps, heavy and relentless.
The men in black, their eyes cold and deadly.
Your lungs screamed, but you didn’t stop.
You couldn’t.
You turned a corner and bam, you slammed into something hard.
A wall?
No.
A man.
Strong arms wrapped around you, pinning you in place.
You struggled, breathless. “Let go of me!”
His grip tightened, pulling you closer, his chest hard against yours.
Your eyes shot up to his.
Cold. Dangerous. And something else… obsessive.
> “You’re running from me, princess.” His voice was smooth, almost mocking. He lowered his head, his lips brushing your ear as he whispered,
“That’s not going to work.”
You froze.
Who was this?
His face was shadowed under the brim of a black cap, but his presence was too powerful, too overwhelming.
You tried again to break free, but he held you effortlessly.
His lips curled into a small, dark smile as his eyes bored into yours.
> “You think you can escape the man who owns this city?”
You inhaled sharply, glaring up at him. “Who the hell are you?”
His fingers traced down your arm like he was marking you, claiming you.
> “Kim Taehyung.” His voice was calm, too calm for someone who had just stopped a woman in her tracks like this.
“And now, you're mine.”
You took a step back, but he didn’t let go.
You looked up at him again, his eyes dark, dangerous.
> “Let go. I don’t know you. I’m not anyone’s property.”
He tilted his head, amusement flickering in his eyes.
> “You will be soon enough.”
Before you could react, he grabbed your wrist and pulled you into the shadows.
The alleyway faded into a cold, dim-lit hallway.
And then, he opened a door.
> “Welcome to my world.”
