I’m broken but it’s a good thing

"I read the whole thing... “This is a story of realness. So real in every way that it becomes hard to read. Some of us who have suffered like the MCs have might not want to relive it. While it might teach others that life isn’t roses and perfect endings. You need to have a ready mind and a hard heart to read this book. But it is worth it. It’s worth it, because sometimes love is gut wrenching and watching this real love progress makes the fall so much harder. Sometimes we need to read something hard and painful... it’s cathartic... I just finished ‘ On The Beach’ so I am now overly broken... Thank you 😊 “ "

Beautiful, yet Tragic

"The story was raw, powerful, tragic, and full of love. None of which was particularly expressed conventionally, but that's what makes it incredible. Love takes all shapes and forms, whether it be a gangster turned salaryman or a hopeful former "adult" worker. Yes, there was a sense of betrayal, as the story suggests, but I don't think Carl felt that way. Blake stood up for him in a way that no one ever did before, which caused discord with the life he lived before her. Was there a series of horrible, unfortunate circumstances? Yes! But, ultimately, he loved Blake in his own way despite all the trouble and forgave her in the end. And the same for her. I bawled like a baby finishing this story, so I highly recommend it! 11/10!"
