Chapter 1
She is the sun of my life, the light in the darkness. The love of my life. Someone I want to love and will continue to love for the rest of my life. Her love was pure. It wrapped around me like that cozy feeling you get in winter, soft but real, and it never really goes away. Even if there are miles between us, her heart feels like a promise echoing in mine. She speaks in quiet moments and lights up the room in her own way. Her laughter is like a melody that sticks with me for days. She’s not just a name on my phone; she’s the reason I believe. I never thought I'd feel this deeply, not at this age, not in this world. But she proved love doesn’t wait for permission. It just arrives, pure and unstoppable. And when it does, it changes everything. She didn’t have to try to be special. She was. In the way she laughed like light, and cried like rain that still watered the earth. She wasn’t perfect in the way books describe girls, but she was real and raw, and that made her mine in a way no story could ever explain. Even when we were far apart, I felt her in everything. In the way my heart beat faster when my phone lit up. In the way a love song would hit differently because suddenly I knew what they were singing about. Distance was just space. But her love reached further than that. It crossed oceans. I remember nights when we would talk until our eyelids closed like shutters. Even sleep couldn’t stop the feeling, because I would dream of her smile and wake up missing her like a breath I forgot to take. She was the reason I started writing. Because no voice note could hold what I felt. No call could contain the way my heart swelled just from seeing her say “hi.” She called herself ordinary. But to me, she was a universe dressed as a girl. She was sunsets and thunder, warmth and fire, all the quiet things people overlook until they are gone. And I knew deep in my bones that I didn’t want to live in a world where she wasn’t by my side. Not just as a message on my screen. Not just as a memory I held too tightly. But as a forever. A real, breathing forever. I would wait for her. Every day. Every night. Even if the world said it was just puppy love, or that I was too young to know. Because I knew. I knew from the way my soul felt at peace with her. The way even sadness didn’t feel so lonely when she held my heart through words. She was more than a girl I loved. She was the light in a world that felt too dark. She gave me something to believe in. Someone to protect. A future I could picture with my eyes closed. So if anyone ever asks me what love is, I will say her name. Softly. Like a prayer that saved me.
