Chapter 1: What’s wrong?
Once upon a time there was a boy named Lucas and a girl named Lucy. They were both best childhood friends. He was a five-year-old and she was a three-year-old who used to play together and visit each other with the permission of their parents. For years they had been together. When he turned thirteen, he moved out of the house next to hers without telling her. Years later, she came home from high school tired and went to sleep thinking about him. She suddenly had a dream. She woke up in a serene forest with a calm background full of green trees and long grass, butterflies flying around, deers running, birds beautifully singing, and bunnies hopping around her. Her eyes widened. She pinched her arm to see if it was true, and it was. She looked around confused but delighted to see such a place could be real. She was wearing a lavender half-sleeve sundress. Her long wavy dark hair caught beautifully in the sunlight along with her beautiful hazel eyes that shined from the sunlight. Her heart melting full, plump lips that were slightly pink. She got up from the ground and walked further into the forest. It suddenly grew darker as she walked further. She heard a growl. She turned around to see five werewolves behind her. She screamed and ran for her life. Her dress flowed beautifully behind her. A man in a black, mysterious eye-masquerade crow mask that hid his upper face except his eyes was standing on the tree branch watching her, with a smirk on his face.
The werewolves chased her, their snarls echoing through the forest. She tripped over a root and fell hard onto the ground. The werewolves surrounded her, snarling and baring their teeth. She closed her eyes tightly, waiting for the inevitable end. Just when she thought it was all over, the man with the crow mask jumped down from the tree branch. He stopped the werewolves with a wave of his hand. The werewolves whimpered and backed away, disappearing into the shadows of the forest. The masked man turned to her and extended his hand to help her up. His gloves were black and had silver details. She hesitantly took his hand, and he pulled her up gently. His touch was warm and comforting. She looked up at him, her heart pounding in her chest. She was expecting to see a monster or a beast behind that mask, but somehow, his presence felt familiar. She searched his eyes through the holes of the mask, those sharp red eyes trying to place where she had seen those eyes before. Suddenly, it hit her. "Lucas?" She asked softly, hoping she was right. The man froze. The werewolves she was running from forgotten momentarily, She reaches for his mask gently he catches her wrist in his hand, "Don't touch me," He said coldly. She pulled back her hand as if she was burnt. His voice was deep and dangerous, nothing like the boy she used to know. Her expression turns confused and hurt at his cold tone what’s wrong? She asks confused and hurt as he’s never talked to her like that.
