Tower of Doom

Kai opens his eyes with an announcement sound coming from the Podium in front of the tower stairs, he quickly left his home with excitement

"As we do every month, the beginner tower is open for new adventurers, just like I do every single month, I want to repeat the rules.

The tower is made out of 32 layers, -1 is the marketplace, 0 is the living layer, the other 29 is full of spawners, monsters and loots, the 30th layer has a boss which will decide if you get to start your actual tower journey or not

When you die, you respawn back at the layer 0, everyone has 3 respawn, when you die the third time, it means you're not worthy of starting your actual tower journey this month.

There's no respawn at the 30th layer, if you die, you die.

To start your journey, everyone has to get into a party of Captain, Healer and Support, there will be more classes as you climb through the towers

And that's all the rules, get into your party and start climbing the stairs"

Everyone was talking excitedly and collecting their parties, and Lila came to Kai with an excited face "hey Kai! You're coming to the tower, right?"

Kai chuckles "hell yeah I am!"

Lila nods "alright, let's be a party, I'm the Healer and you're the Captain!"

Kai scratched the back of his neck "I don't really think I can be the Captain, I mean I think support is better for me"

"Then who is going to be the captain?"

Suddenly they see Kael, one of Kai's old friends and seems to not find a party for himself, they run up to him, Kael smiles

"Oh hi there guys, you two searching for a party too?"

Kai shakes his head "we actually have a party, we just need a Captain, can you be the Cap, please!"

Kael thinks before nodding with a smile "sure, that's great"

They all fist bump before going to the stairs entrance, seems like they're the first in line, the Gatewarden gives them a quick interrogation then gives Kael his sword, Lila her first-aid bag and Kai his potion bag, then the trio climbs the first layer as they reach layer 1, it's a dirty dungeon, completely closed, there are three locked up chests in the room and a round-shaped spawner in the middle.

Kai looked around in awe "wow, it's even more stressing than I expected"

Lila is still so excited "I can't believe I'm climbing my first dungeon!"

As they were talking, the spawner suddenly spawns three goblins and suddenly an announcer starts talking

New monster detected!

Monster name: Goblin

Speed: mid

Strength: low

Pack size: few–3

Spawn rate: low

Loot prob: low

Kai is really confused "what even does that announcement mean?!"

Kael thinks "I think it's the stats of Goblins, they're strong in speed but weak in other stats"

Lila seems even more excited "they have a possibility to drop loots too!?"

The goblins run towards them, Kael gets in front of them "Kai boost me, I'm going to get them down!"

Kai looks through his potion bag, then realizes something "we didn't loot or buy anything yet, it's all empty"

Kael facepalms "yeah right, I'm all alone"

The goblins run at Kael, Kael hits them with the sword, hitting them away, one of the goblins fall down, as it stands up, Kai grabs it's neck and starts strangling it

"That's it team, let's go! Kael exclaims, Kael is fighting with on of them, Kai is strangling one of them, and Lila is hitting the last one with her First-aid kit.

The trio kills all of them, the announcer talks

Dungeon 1 beaten, the chests are unlocked

The trio run up to the chests, all of them looking inside one

Kael: 10 coins, and a bracelet?

Announcement: that's a fire bracelet, let's you control fire

Lila: 15 coins, and a potion?

Announcement: that's a water potion, gives you drowning power for the whole dungeon

Kai: 5 coins? And a toy sword?

Announcement: rare item found! That's a remake of the god sword, pretty useless, but carries some of the effects the god sword has and you can sell it for a pretty high gold

Kai: what are the powers?

Announcement: I'm not saying that

Kael stands up "come on guys, let's go back to the 0th layer and distribute the loots"

Kai remembers something "wait, do we have to repeat the layer 1 if we go back to layer 0?"

"Of course not, every dungeon is done only once!"

The group starts going down the stairs, they sit in front of Kai's house, Kael takes the coins in his hand

"We have exactly 30 coins, 9 for Lila, 9 for Kai, 12 for me"

Lila looks confused "why is that?"

"Because I'm the captain, and I kinda did all the work"

Lila snatches the coins from his hand "hell nah, everyone gets 10 coins!'

Kael shrugs "fair point, now to the other loots"

Lila takes the bracelet excitedly "can I have the bracelet?! It's so cute!"

Kael and Kai nods "sure" Kael takes the potion in his hand "and I'll drink this on our next dungeon"

Kai takes the sword with annoyance "this sword is haunting me, I'm stuck with this again"

Kael stands up, afterwards Kai and Lila does "that's all for today guys, tomorrow we meet in front of the gate at 13:00"

They both nod, then they all fist bump, Kai goes to his home, Lila goes to her house, and Kael goes to the training ground
