Conan the Barbarian was my glimpse
"As a lover of art and a fan of Frank Frazetta, I began collecting his cards of Conan and the likes of him, drifting off into other imaginary worlds, and even began my journey as a bodybuilder when I glimpsed the beauty of his female warriors. Fast forward to thirty years later— Now I’m a writer, and although I do attempt to keep an open mind to various writing styles, I’ve found this isn’t enough. I have HFA, which is high-functioning autism, and it limits my ability to enjoy things fully. While some may assume autistic people are simple-minded, I suppose the real definition is—just in a peculiar way. Very black and white for many—at least for me. And going off this manner of thinking, it may be understood why finding a good read is a chore for me. Finding an author without a one-off is an even bigger task. This brings me to you. My interest lies in suspense, thrillers, sci-fi, and occasionally broken-down dystopian. While I haven’t become passion-soaked in a Game of Thrones read—and honestly, couldn’t get into the show (I know, shame on me)—I did find myself compelled to read more of your work. I especially enjoy learning while I’m entertained, and “roe” was a word I hadn’t encountered before. So, thank you. I’ll look forward to what you share next."
