The Interview.

She adjusted the hem of her skirt, lifting her body slightly off the chair. She was very nervous. The boss himself was supposed to see her. She had not had any breakfast. She was regretting that now.

The door opened and he walked in. Clyde Boughton. He was even more handsome in person than in the photos she had seen of him.

"Very good of you to be on time, Dara Sunsbow". He said, taking a seat. She was surprised that he knew her name off hand. He didn't have to look at her file to know her name. That was positive.

"It is polite to be punctual. You can expect punctuality from me every working day". She said.

He rolled a pen between his fingers and licked his lips. She was way prettier than in the photo. She had a very clean background. What he liked most about her was that there was no ring on her finger.

"It is to be expected if you get the job, Dara". He said, letting her name slide over his tongue.

Her eyes widened at the way he said her name. There was tension in the room and he knew that she felt it.

"Are you single?" He asked.

"No". She mumbled.

"Are you well experienced with sex?" He asked.

She raised an eyebrow. "Excuse me?" She asked, feeling insulted.

"I didn't mean to scare you. Here's the contract and a pen. Read it carefully before you sign". He said, pushing the said items forward.

Her eyes widened in shock.

"Does that mean you're hiring me, Mr. Boughton?" She asked, masking her excitement.

"Yes. And if we are going to be working together, we should start calling each other by our names". He said.

She covered her mouth with her hand. Shut up! She just got accepted as the personal assistant of Clyde Boughton!

She picked up the pen, flicked the pages and signed at the bottom of the last page. He just watched her quietly. He noticed that she had not read it thoroughly. She had skipped the most important pages.

He stood up for a hand shake. She stood as well.

"Thank you so much for this opportunity, Mr. Bough... um, Clyde". She stuttered.

"No. Thank you, Dara". He said and kissed her hand.

"When do I resume?" She asked, gently withdrawing her hand.

"Right now, if it's okay with you". He said.

"I'm sorry, I can't today. I have to meet up with someone". She said.

So, there was a boyfriend somewhere? That was tough.

"Then, you can begin tomorrow. You should take the contract with you. I already have a copy. You might need to review it in the future". He said.

"Okay. Thank you". She said, picking it up and putting it in her handbag.

"Let me see you out". He said, leading the way to the door. He accompanied her to the elevator and watched her go inside.

"Dara". He said and nodded at her.

"Clyde". She almost whispered.

Just as she said his name, the doors swished closed.

He walked back to his office and sat down to think. She was sexy as hell, though. Thoughts of her on his office table made him hard. He knew he wanted her when he saw her picture among her files on his desk. Now, his body wanted her too.

She got home by past four in the evening. She dropped the contract on the kitchen counter and went to the sink to get a glass of water.

"Back so early? How did it go?" Kelvin, her boyfriend asked, wrapping his hands around her from behind. She leaned into him.

"I got the job". She said slowly.

"No way! That's amazing news. I'm gonna treat you to your favourites tonight." He said.

She turned around in his arms and kissed him. She noticed that he was excited about something.

"Did you get a new gig?" She asked, looking into his handsome face. She suddenly found herself comparing him to her new boss. To be fair, Kelvin was nowhere near Clyde, all things being equal.

"I thought you'd never ask. I got a gig with my band at the Sunnyside. They are willing to pay us ten grand to perform on their special night." He said. She was making five times the amount that he was sharing with his band members. Why did Clyde pay her so much? Apart from her salary, she was given a wardrobe allowance and a company car.

Although her family and everyone else she knew thought it was weird that she could not drive, she didn't. Driving was a scary affair.

He strode to the counter and picked up the contract.

"So this is it. You got the job". He said in a quiet voice. He flipped through the pages.

"Yeah. I did. Congratulations to me". She said.

He dropped the contract without even actually reading it.

"It sounds like a full time job". He said, sounding a bit disappointed.

"Yeah. I'm afraid it is. I think I'm free on weekends. I'll read it later to be sure".

He pulled her to him. "So does this mean you'll no longer have time for me?" He asked, sounding sad.

"No. We still have the night and the weekends". She said.

"Would you have to travel with him on business trips?" He asked.

"Yeah. It's part of my job". She replied.

"So you'll stay in hotels with him?" He asked, sounding jealous and insecure.

She wrapped her hands around his neck and looked into his eyes.

"He is not my man. You are". She said and kissed him.

He kissed her back. After dinner, they both went to bed. She could not sleep. She kept thinking about why he had asked about her sex life. Was he interested in her that way? If he made any move, she would just tell him that she had a boyfriend.

But what she was most afraid of was that having a boyfriend did not stop men like Clyde Boughton from getting into her panties.
