So far, so good
"I usually like to add reviews to the end of books after readying the whole story, but since there hasn't been an update in a bit, I felt I should give my thoughts after reading what's been posted. So far, so good. I think this is a good start to a sweet book. Plot: Pretty straightforward. Grump rich guy, sweet, not rich girl, pushed into an unwanted/loveless marriage. Even so, I feel it has good potential. Style: Jumps between repeative & quick paced, but good details & the characters aren't one-dimensional. Tech Skills: Minus some misses spaces I don't think there's been grammer/spelling errors, but if there is, they were minor enough not to hinder the story & I didn't notice. The first few chapters are on the repetitive side, but that doesn't last long. There are timeline gaps without being stated prior to the paragraph (like x months later before the psragraph), it tripped me up for a moment until I remember the characters actually state the timeline of the celebrations, & since the gaps jump to the next celebration, it was a clear follow (when I realize it). I think this was an immersive use of telling the readers without pausing the story to do so. I do feel like the slow repetitive beginning to the quick gap jumps brings a need for something more somewhere. I know that's not super helpful, but I'm not really sure. The flow feels rushed. Since this isn't my culture, I adored being given a glimpse into these moments and learning about different traditions. It brings life into the story, giving connections and immersion to something new. Also, I'm not usually a fan of always being shown characters' new outfits because I like using my imagination to build images. However, I really appreciate seeing the celebration outfits instead of having to google them. My overall thoughts are what I said at the beginning. This is the start of something sweet. I am sure there are rocky & angry moments to come, but I feel there's growth & adoration waiting to bloom. So, I hope & look forward to getting to edit this review after reading this as a completed story. Side note: I feel that the end of the chapters & the added author's notes need to be separated with a line break of sorts. Sometimes, I keep on reading as if the notes are part of the story. So, having them separate, other than the notes being bold, would be nice."
