She would watch him during family weddings, silent on the terrace with a cigarette between his fingers, eyes far away. She was the little girl dancing with sparklers. He was the storm refusing to be seen. Then, he disappeared. Years passed. Italy became his home, and his silence turned darker — soaked in secrets and blood he never spoke of. And now, he's back. Not for joy. Not for family. But because danger lurked around. The kind that wears suits in daylight and kills without blinking at night. She shouldn't care. She shouldn’t even look.
