Prologue

A fantasy fulfilled, many would dream to have it. She knew of peopl who wanted to escape their realities and venture into another. Somewhere where they could have a redo and excel.

...And I wouldn't know if I truly had wanted it.

The skies filled with smoke, the burning sensation on my throat. Red spots covered my vision and there is a slight ringing in my ear. Yet, nothing would describe the exasperation I feel.

Such a mess I'm in, but it wouldn't make sense if we don't start at the beginning...

...

A book she only read once or twice, that was the Gambit Chronicles which was a popular comic that gained the attention of the world in the 3000's. It followed the adventures of a boy in a world filled with death and chaos.

The boy was smart and cunning but had opponents bigger than him. Gambles, bargaining life and death. Comrades met, doubted, appreciated, and some who had fallen.

In essence, the boy just had to survive such a world he had fallen into. Maybe... I had found resonance to it, the will to survive, and had hoped for a better ending.

I wouldn't have read such a book in the beginning, it was only to fill the deep hole of aimless passing time.

Regardless, it all started with my death.

I remembered the city lights shining so beautifully when I died. I also remember the night sky looking so peaceful. The stars seemed so near that I could reach for it. It was euphoric and death was a solace.

Then, I woke up...

I couldn't say that I really started as a baby, it's more like I awakened my memories at sometime...

Remember the book I've mentioned? It was the world where I was born again.

Rodela: I have been reading in Inkitt for quite some years now, but this is the 2nd time I am reading a story as well knitted as this one. The plot was as generic as possible, yet, it gave answers to many questions other werewolf stories couldn't. Most importantly, it made me realize what I want with my lif...

Ingibabes511: Beautiful storytelling, too short but crafted wonderfully, your ability to draw us in with just a few short descriptive nuances and I for one would not be unhappy if you decided to make this into a series following their lives, where we learn more about her goddess given talents and if they have pup...
