A messy story

"The story began interestingly . Many repetitions but pk. After half the book changes style and expression and it is like children's story. . Evelyn from scared and confused becomes self entitled for no apparent reason. She attends school although she was sold to the hemlocks. The court she attends has no point. Why does she go there,? What's her role what is the purpose of this court? Is it not mandatory after she attends school ? Why does her behaviour change? Not very homogeneous writing.. "
