A Long Walk: A Love Story

DeAndre "DC" Carter just landed his dream job of becoming a marketing executive in downtown Chicago. He has already put his foot in the door by bringing some big name companies to the firm. Life is sweet for DC and it keeps getting sweeter - especially when he meets Harmony.

Harmony Jones is a force to be reckoned with. Everything she sets her mind to, she accomplishes. Now she's on the track to get a position as a programmer/ artist for a video entertainment company in Japan - her dream job. This is the job she has been training for, she just needs to apply during the job fair when all of the top companies allow people from outside the company to apply.

Harmony fell for DC instantly as he had all of the qualities she ever wanted in a guy He was nice, respectful, caring, funny and he really saw and valued her. She knew he was the one by his action not just his words.

People noticed them together and would smile as they were the perfect couple. Yet one major detail could unravel their perfect world. They saw themselves together for life, even though it was an unspoken destination. They knew it would be the end result.

However, differences in an opinion may end up getting in the way of their amazing union when DC informs Harmony he doesn't believe in long-distance relationships. He admits he has trust issues which is why he has never even acknowledged having one. Harmony sees nothing wrong with having a LDR as long as both parties trust each other. She's been open to having one if needed.

Both DC and Harmony weren't worried as they were in the same space at the moment with no change. Until after a year and a half of dating, Harmony gets the news she has been waiting for - she's been offered a position at one of the companies she applied for - in Japan.

How will she break the news to DC? Will she really break up with him to go after her dream job? Will DC expect Harmony to stay or will he let her go instead of standing in the way of her dreams?
