Chapter 1: The Girl Between Two Worlds
My name is Olive Dalia Oyinkansola Oladimeji, and I live in a world filled with colors, culture, dreams, and laughter. I was born in Nigeria, a country full of energy and rhythm, but now I live in Tanzania, a land of peace and beautiful sunsets. I’m proud of where I come from and where I am.
I am 11 years old, and I go to Feza Primary School in Dar es Salaam. Life at school is full of learning, friends, and curiosity. I love reading, writing, and exploring new ideas. But what makes me really shine are the things I love outside of school too: playing football in the evenings with my friends, singing my heart out when no one is watching, dancing like the world is a stage, and cooking meals that smell like joy.
I live with my wonderful mother, Irene Spedi, who always supports my dreams. She teaches me how to be strong, kind, and proud of who I am. My grandparents, Lumbikissia Spendi and Scholastica Spendi, are like a big, warm hug in my life. With them around, I know I am loved.
