CHAPTER 1
Ep-1
“Love at First Sight”
Every day at 7:10 a.m., Ayo saw her.
Always reading; always in headphones, some mornings it was poetry, other days sci-fi.
The astonishing beauty of Bolu can only be underrated plus her eyeglass compliments her beautiful face. Though they both live on the same street, they have never had any chance of interacting.
One Tuesday morning, while going to their respective workplace, the sudden rain caught them both off guard. As they huddled beneath the tiny shelter, finally thought Ayo, fate has brought them together.
Ayo offered half of his umbrella to Bolu to share on their way the bus stop since they are both heading there. She smiled—finally—and said, “Took you long enough.”
“I didn’t know you noticed me,” Ayo stammered.
“I noticed everything,” she replied. “Especially that you always miss your earlier bus just to wait here.”
That day, their love journey started.
Ep2
The café was nearly empty except for the soft hum of jazz floating from the speakers and the occasional clink of a spoon against a ceramic cup. Bolu hadn’t planned on stopping—she had meetings to attend, deadlines to chase—but the unexpected rain had changed her course.
She was fumbling through her bag; searching for a book she could disappear into, when a voice interrupted her search.
“We always met on rainy days, eh?”
She looked up. It was him—the handsome Ayo she’d noticed several times, tucked into the corner with a laptop and a steaming cup of coffee.
“I could ask you the same,” she said, arching a brow.
He smiled, his dimple deepening in a way that made her pulse stutter. “Guess rain wants us together uh?”
Their conversation, at first casual, was proper introduction stretched into something deeper. They spoke of their favourite books, missed chances, and the magic of their unexpected encounters. Outside, the rain continued to fall in delicate sheets, but inside, something else was forming—something warm, something new.
As she finally stood to leave, he reached for a napkin and scribbled something on it.
“If it rains again tomorrow… meet me here?”
Bolu hesitated, then tucked the napkin into her bag, maybe some storms were worth stepping into she concluded.
Ep3
Ayo a tech developer couldn’t believe how things have developed this past few days,’ from stealing a glance at his crush every morning to actually sharing personal space together under his umbrella during their first day to having what he termed First unofficial date’ his joy knows no bound, after several months of a one sided love, his love life is finally showing hope of blossom.
Though the weather was cloudy the next day but it sure wasn’t raining except for small dews falling down from the sky. Ayo sitting at his usual spot in the café couldn’t help but be disappointed concluding Bolu won’t be coming after-all. He was about to finish his coffee when Bolu came in glancing expectantly at Ayo’s usual spot. Bolu apologized for coming late, saying she wasn’t expecting him to come since it wasn’t really raining. Ayo waived her off and expresses his gratitude that she decided to give it a chance. She then sat across from him; the conversation went easily—books, travels, and the little things that make life sweet. Days passed, and their quiet moments turned into routine. On days Bolu didn’t come, Ayo found himself missing her presence. On evenings she lingered longer than usual, he started refilling her cup before she even asked; an attraction that can’t be ignored has ignited.
One chilly evening, after weeks of shared glances and unspoken feelings, Ayo finally gathered the courage.
“You know,” he said, swirling his spoon in his coffee, “I make a pretty good caramel at home too.”
Bolu raised a brow. “Is that so?”
He nodded with a quiet hope in his eyes. “I could prove it, maybe tomorrow? My place”
She smiled, warmth blooming in her chest, “Only if there’s extra foam.”
Finally, an official date is set!!!!!!!
