Chapitre 1
This is the tale of a family who lived in a splendid manor. All of them were artists, painters exactly, although the son preferred to play the piano. But they were special ones: indeed, they had extraordinary powers. They could create worlds, and even bring them to life. It is said that painters sometimes put a fragment of their own souls in their paintings.
This was exactly what he has done… many years ago.
He, Verso, the boy among the siblings. Even if he practices painting, Verso would have dreamt of becoming a professional pianist… much to his father’s dismay. His eldest sister, Clea, is a talented painter, much more than her renowned mother while the youngest, Alicia, wasn’t born with a special gift. Nevertheless, her brother Verso had an overflowing imagination. When he was a kid, he painted a world based on his own city, and where strange creatures lived on: the Gestrals, living beings fond of combats of all sorts, but also very endearing. Verso gave birth to two Gestrals whose names were based from the family’s dogs: Noco, a small creature fond of treasures, and Monoco, a reliable friend. Of all the life he gave to his painting, Verso also created a powerful being named Esquie, based on his favourite plushie. Alicia particularly loved them, and always imagined they could exist in the real world. Verso and her spent a lot of time living adventures related to this painting and all its creatures. Even the seemingly serious Clea adored the magical world created by her brother.
Alicia and Verso were really closed to each other. They even vowed to always be there for each other…
If only they’d known it would lead to the downfall of their family…
