Summary

"Some loves are written in blood. Hers was written in starlight." One step from the edge. That’s where Elara stood — ready to let go of a life that had already abandoned her. But fate had other plans. Swept into a world of shadows and ancient power, Elara discovers the truth she was never meant to know — she doesn't just belong to the supernatural world... she was born from it. And she’s soul-bound to its most feared and revered being. He calls her his mate. She calls him a mystery. But the bond between them is ineffable — beyond words, beyond logic, beyond breaking. Now, caught between the girl she was and the force she’s becoming, Elara must navigate a destiny she never chose, a love she doesn't understand, and a war that could consume them both. How do you fight fate... when it’s written in your soul?

Prologue

Sitting in my room, staring out the window, I can’t help but think about how I ended up here — in a place I now call home, thousands of miles away from my family. Far from normal. In a world full of supernatural beings I never knew I belonged to.

I always knew the supernatural existed. I had even been saved by them once. But I never imagined I was one of them — that I was bound to one of the most powerful beings in existence. His mate. Or as he calls us, soul-bound.

I don’t remember exactly how I got from standing on the edge of a cliff, ready to end it all… to now being in the arms of someone who’s become my everything.

This is my story — of a girl who was born into a beautiful, loving family. A kind, gentle, and trusting soul. Until she learned how cruel the world could be… and became a shell of who she once was.

How could Tristan have been dreaming about his mate since he was a child if Omara was already mated to someone else before him? If Kyle had accepted Omara, would Tristan ne...
