Krish

"Get me a cup of chai, right now" yelled Mr. Negi. It was my first day working at ANUBHAV CONSULTANCY and I was appointed as a brand new PEON. hahaha

I know this sounds quite weird but yes I am a peon who comes from a very lowly background. First comes first that my name is KRISH KAMATH and I am 26 years old, working my ass off since I was 13. My extraordinary parents Mr. Vishwanath Kamath is a panipuri wale bhaiya who has been selling puchkas in Bombay since the last 33 years and my mother (aai) Mrs. Vandana Kamath is a homemaker who used to stich for fun but now takes up blouses and dresses to earn a profit of 50 rupees.

As a lower class boy with 2 elder sisters who were yet to get married I helped my Papa being a kid of 13 years at the "thela" while managing to complete my studies and homework with the help of street lights at night. When I turned 18, working at a construction site became usual and neglecting studies to meet ends while watching aai cough all the time was all in my hand.

"10th pass ladko ke liye jagah nikli hai peon ki, koi Anubhav consultancy me. Mai jarah hu tujhe aana hoga to aaja." said Kartik my chaddy-buddy.

That was when I tagged along with him leaving the complete heap of sand undone and giving an excuse of extreme stomach ache to my boss. He made this annoyed face but still granted me cause I was the only worker who didn't take leave since the day of joining.

"Bhai tera nahi hua lekin mera hogaya, isiliye bolta tha tujhe thoda padhle. Me to chala tu banate reh apne baap ke dukaan pe paan" I thoroughly enjoyed saying that to him because he used to constantly whine about working at his fathers paan shop.

"Abe jaa na tujhe vaha bhi majdori hi krni hai" Kartik said frowning.

"lekin vo pagaar bhi to dege...CHOTU" another burst of laughter.

And here started my journey from selling PaniPuri at the streets of Mumbai, to making buildings, to a brand new peon.
