One.

He was Fire, and she was Ice. He was Dominating, but she loved her pride. They both hated each other, but one arrangement made their life to collapse, and they started to haye each other more. He had plans, she had too. But destiny? It had different plans.

James was standing on the balcony of his parents'house, the house was echoing with the voice of people's whispering and light background music, anyone can tell that a party was going on in Philips Mansion. But James, he was standing leaning on the railing with a cigarette in his hand, puffing occasional drags of smoke, he looked at the sky, and sighed. When there comes 'She',a big messy bun, a bold red lipstick, bloody red sleek dress, pencil heels that clicked on the floor, and a glass of wine in her hand. She walked and stood beside him."Nice evening, right?" She stated, taking a sip of her wine. As James looked at her, but didn't answer, then diverted his gaze back to the sky, releasing a drag of smoke in the air that surrounded them.

It was a weird and awkward silence, a silence they both hate, but that wasn't something they hated more than their family's complications, or this noise around. Both were not the party person, and maybe that's why they are standing here on the balcony."You got the time to visit? I mean I don't have any problem it's your home too, but there is still a weird thing about you that I personally don't like, and especially these fake bold antics, I don't think you should be like this, Cicilia."He said, his gaze didn't shift from the sky. Cicilia looked at him, then looked at the sky."What family, James? A family which I see as nothing but an agreement? Or a family which is hard to accept? Or both? Tell me." She said, sipping again for her glass, as she looked at him. "If you are talking about the relationship of your father and my father, then obviously it's clear that they are good friends and your great grandfather and my great grandfather were cousins, so from that thing we are like cou-"before he could complete, she interrupted him, turning to face him properly, she spoke up."Don't you dare to say cousins. When you know what agreements our dads are making," she growled. Her words were nothing less than the truth, she was right at this point, in fact James liked the way she said that. Indeed it's the truth that he, himself can't afford the relationship they are in right now, and that will only spoil two lives– him and her. But he is slightly also the one who likes this arrangement, only because, this Cicilia named creature, is a very amazing thing to explore. When in more respectful words she was one of those people whom he admires."An agreement of our wedding, I mean what? What did they think of marrying you and me, James Phillips with Cicilia Davis, Right?"She completed her words, then sighed heavily. Whereas James, he was slightly amused by her audacity to speak like this in front of him. I mean, obviously, he is not a regular businessman, he is that man in his family, who takes the decision, even sometimes his father doesn't speak back to him, and here, take a look at this young lady's audacity.

He turned to face the young lady properly, as he put the cigarette in the ash tray. His expression was neutral even when he had thousands of thoughts in his mind, and the burning desires inside him were not the thing to be unnoticed. He doesn't even know why he hates her, and why she hates him, they both never liked each other but still he was slightly amused by this wedding proposal. Well, maybe because Cicilia holds power, she is not like normal females. And James, he thinks himself as an alpha, he likes to suppress people, and at that moment Cicilia was something intimidating and challenging both.

"I like your audacity, Ms. Davis. No doubt, your father has raised a bright and fearless lady." He said, stepping closer to her. His eyes sparkled with a hint of mischief and something else, something that can even burn their world."Thank you, James, but this girl is more raised by her mother than her father." She counters back, her words were a low purr, clearly showing that she is not stepping back. Indeed, then no matter how problematic she is feeling right now from inside."I don't want anything from you, all I want is just to be a part of this arrangement." James growled. The atmosphere was awkward and intense both. As he stepped further. Cicilia crossed her arms, and looked at him with narrow eyes,"You want this arrangement to be done because of the motive behind it, right? The fact that it will help your business. Oh, James, I don't think the Phillips family has come to such bad days," she replied, sarcasm in her words was as clear as day."Watch what you say, Miss Davis, your future depends on each and every word you speak." He growled, his words contained huskiness. As his gaze at her remained stoic."Is it really a thing? I thought we were just some known strangers." She stated, her eyes were sincere, but yet contained the annoyance she had because of this weird arrangement.

But her words only made him Chuckled."Hey, what's so funny?" She asked, snapping her fingers in front of him. But instead of replying to her, he slowly started to step closer to her. His shoes clicked on the floor, so did her heels.(I am literally amused that no-one interrupted them yet, fuck! There's literally a part going on inside the house.)

She gasped, when she found herself now trapped between his body and the wall touching her back."Listen to one thing, young lady, whatever you think, I don't care about it. We are marrying and that's a deal, either you want or...." He paused, not completing his words. He smirked and then leaned back, he kept his hands in his pockets and said,"Well, 'no' isn't even an option, so, babygirl, stop being a smartass and think from your brain." Saying that, he walked towards the glass door of the balcony, and went inside the party, leaving her alone in her thoughts.

She released the breath she was holding on for more than the last two minutes, and took a deep inhale-exhale."Fuck! Why am I heating now?" She mummered to herself, flapping her hands in the air, in front of her face, like a fan. "Damn! Why is it like that?" She said.(I am telling, girl, you are in love, these are signs, of being attracted towards someone. "Shut up, and continue the story, You damn Author" she said. You are being feisty now, anyways let's continue.) She looked at the door, and clenched her fist."James Fucking Philips, I hate you.." she mummered to herself again. (What's with your habit of muttering, girl.) Then she turned to look at the sky, releasing one last sigh she walked in the party.
