CHAPTER ONE:

THE UNEXPECTED STORM

Sometimes in life, things break when you are trying your best to build.

You may be working hard on your business. You may be leading a team with honesty. You may be chasing a dream with all your heart. Then suddenly, something happens that you never expected.

A trusted partner walks away.

A project you invested everything in fails.

People you believed in let you down.

Doors you knocked on remain closed.

It feels unfair. It feels heavy. You sit quietly, looking at everything falling apart. And then, one question slowly comes out from your heart:

“Why me?”

This question does not always come with tears. Sometimes it comes with silence. With deep confusion. With sleepless nights. With a heart that is tired but still trying to stay strong.

You start to think, “I was doing the right thing. I gave my time, my energy, my prayers, my trust. So why did things still go wrong?”

This is what we call the unexpected storm. It comes without warning. It shakes the ground beneath your feet. And it often visits people who are not doing anything wrong, but who are trying to do something right.

You may not see it coming. It can hit you at your highest moment, when you thought everything was finally going well. Or it can come quietly, breaking you little by little until you are too weak to keep pretending.

“Why me?”

Some said it after they lost everything they worked for.

Some said it after being betrayed by someone they trusted.

Some said it when they were pushed aside, even after giving their best.

And some said it in the middle of a silent night, with tears no one else saw.

Not every storm comes to destroy. Some come to reveal the parts of you that need to grow. Some come to prepare you for what is next. But before you understand that, you have to go through the storm.
