Chapter 1

I woke up and immediately checked my phone, it was December 7th today and my three year anniversary with my boyfriend Ricky was in a week. Tomorrow i'd be leaving with him, he had gotten his parents, Danielle and Howard to let us borrow their winter cabin, up in the mountains.

After being lazy in bed for a couple more hours i eventually got up making my way to my kitchen, not bothering to turn on any lights because what the hell would i be doing besides sleeping today.

I turned on my coffee pot and sat on a stool on at my kitchen island while i waited for my coffee and scrolled on tiktok when i got a text from Ricky.

Ricky: You packed for tomorrow?

Me: Wow, no goodmorning

I was only trying to poke fun

Ricky: Answer the fucking question are you ready or fucking not

I glanced to my empty suitcase and pile of stuff sitting next to it

Me: Yeah... all packed

i didnt want to anger him. After three years something had changed in our relationship, the first couple months he'd been great, flowers, dates chocolates you know the chliche stuff. But it started slowing down, less romance no chocolates, flowers only on valentines day and no more spontaneous dates but i mean what COULD i expect.

Ricky: Be ready. im picking you up at 8 am sharp tomorrow

I poured my coffee and didnt bother getting dressed, whats the point, im not going anywhere today. Sitting down on my couch i put a blanket over my lap and sat in the dark. Coffee in one hand, phone in other, scrolling on tiktok

i was NOT planning on moving

When i finally tore my eyes away from my screen and looked at a clock it was five pm "Shit" i said to myself

i spent the next hour packing, i packed mostly sweatpants and hoodies as it was the middle of winter but i made sure to pack a couple lingerie, though we hadnt had sex in at least four months

After i had finished, i ate some leftover takeout from the other night and plopped down on my couch turning on my TV.

Silver's Second Chance

Ashley: I enjoyed the story. It was a short one so the fast pace fit. I think something should be put in to show a time jump between paragraphs like a "****" just to make it easier to follow when we skip to the next day week or month. Over all a good read.
