Summary

In a world twisted by fate and stitched together by chance, Aarvi never imagined her already fractured world would collide so violently with Jae’s. He wasn’t the kind of man who slipped into your life quietly—he came in like a storm, with eyes that undressed truths and presence that pulled her in before she even realized it. What began as an accidental meeting turned into a tether, a fire that lit too suddenly, too strongly, to be extinguished. Jae didn’t just save her—he claimed her without a single word. There was something between them that defied logic, something that made silence louder and glances longer. He made Aarvi feel seen, not just as a woman or a survivor, but as a person worthy of love that scorched and stayed. But not every heart watching was ready to step back. Ansh—sweet, steady, silently bleeding Ansh—had loved her in a way she never noticed. His was the kind of love that didn’t roar. It lingered, watched from a distance, and quietly prayed for a miracle. To Aarvi, he was a best friend. To Ansh, she was everything. He had stood by her when she was shattered, loved her when she couldn’t love herself, and hoped—hoped beyond reason—that one day she’d look at him the way she looked at Jae. But hearts don’t follow logic, and Aarvi’s had already chosen, unknowingly, long ago. As these three lives twisted into each other’s fate, secrets unraveled. Past wounds reopened. Loyalties were tested. And amidst it all, the aching question lingered—would Ansh finally speak the truth, or would fate be cruel enough to answer it for him? In this tangled triangle of emotion, the line between love and loyalty blurred. One man’s love burned like wildfire. Another’s waited patiently in the cold. And Aarvi? She stood at the center of it all—trying to hold onto the pieces of her heart without breaking anyone else’s. Because sometimes… fate doesn’t ask you what you want. It simply shows you what you need.

The Start!

It was a new day, filled with fresh hope for Aarvi. She was running late for college and worried about her upcoming seminar. Ready and dressed, she called out to her sister, “Urvi, where are you? I’m going to be late!”

Urvi emerged, looking sleepy. “Ugh...why are you yelling? I just got out of the shower.”

Aarvi raised an eyebrow and said sternly, “If you’re ready soon, I’ll drop you at your college. Otherwise, you’ll have to walk. It’s your choice.”

Urvi, annoyed by the fact that she didn’t have her own scooter and relied on her sister for rides, grumbled, “Just give me five minutes, Miss Confident, and I’ll be ready!” Her tone was mocking.

Aarvi and Urvi were each other’s only family. They had no one else in the world. They lost their parents when Aarvi was twelve, and since then, she’d cared for Urvi, who was three years younger. Their relationship was a chaotic mix of clumsiness and constant bickering, yet they were also each other’s strength. In a way, their fights were a way to distract themselves from the pain they carried in their hearts. However strong they appeared, a part of them always grieved the loss of their parents’ love.

A few minutes later, Urvi was ready, and the sisters left for college. At Urvi’s college, Aarvi told her to be careful, focus on her studies, and behave herself. Knowing her sister’s stubborn nature, Aarvi was certain she could do anything at any time.

In contrast to Urvi, Aarvi was easy-going and fun-loving. However, as the older sister, she’d been forced into responsibility from a young age. She longed to be carefree, to have fun, and to lean on someone for a while. But reality was different, and the past couldn’t be changed.

Aarvi arrived at college and went straight to class, laptop in hand. She was passionate about her studies and driven to achieve her goals. She was studying fashion design and had a seminar that day, the prize being a much-needed internship.

In class, her best friend, Riya, chatted with her about the designs Aarvi had created and how she planned to deliver her presentation. Riya was the only person Aarvi truly felt comfortable around. She was the first person who had spoken to Aarvi without caring about her background. Since childhood, Aarvi had faced many humiliations because she was an orphan and had to work to support herself.

Across the classroom, a group of boys was engaged in what looked like a serious discussion. Then, a tall, handsome guy with a calm and peaceful demeanour entered. Seeing the intense conversation, he walked over to them. “What’s up, guys? Something’s got you all serious for once. What is it?” he asked.

“Bro, this is really serious, and you definitely have to be part of it,” one of them replied.

“What is it?” he asked curiously.

“We’re discussing skipping class today...and ditching those presentations,” another boy said with a straight, serious face.

The guy burst into laughter. “If you’d said something actually serious, I might have joined you,” he said mockingly. “But this? This definitely isn’t worth the mental effort. I’m out.” He walked to his seat, pulled out his tablet and stylus, and began reviewing his own designs.

One of the member from the class called him….” Ansh, you are already here…I was searching for you all over the college man….! What about the party we discussed to go at night….”

Ansh sighed. “Yeah, yeah, I remember, and I’ll be there since you won’t leave me alone. Though...”

His friend interrupted, “Chill, bro. It’ll be fun. And trust me, the money you have can buy all the happiness you could want. Just think about it. What is it about those paintings you’re always glued to that makes you so uninterested in everything else?”

Ansh remained unfazed, completely unbothered by his friend’s words. With a calm, indifferent expression, he said, “If you want me at the party, stop the nonsense and let me focus.”

“Jae, where are you? Stop being so stubborn and learn to take things seriously!” Jae’s mom yelled.

“Cool down, Mom. What makes you think I’m not serious about anything?” Jae replied confidently.

“Because you said you’d take over as CEO this month, but you haven’t even mentioned it,” his mom said, clearly annoyed.

“Oh, is that what this is about? Mom, let me ask you something. I’m going to be the next CEO anyway, right?”

“Yes!” his mom replied.

“So, wouldn’t it be better to take over when I’m completely ready? This isn’t something you can just fix if it’s done wrong. It’s a huge responsibility and needs to be done perfectly. That’s why I’m taking my time. Trust me, you’ll see your son as CEO soon,” Jae said, smiling and hugging his mom.

His mom sighed. “You never listen to anyone. Stop being so stubborn and just focus on the things your dad is trying to teach you.”

Jae, with a confident smile, said, “I understand, Mom. But just trust me. I need some time. I have a lot of things to do.”

Jae was highly competitive and very particular about what he wanted to do. He excelled at everything he put his mind to. It wasn’t just about his studies; he had a natural talent for business and marketing. He was sharp and insightful, especially when it came to the design industry. His parents weren’t forcing him to take over the company; it was an acknowledged truth between them. It was clear Jae was deliberately delaying taking on those responsibilities. He was always unpredictable.
